That miata probably started 10 minutes ahead of those vipers and it took them half a lap to catch up. ;)

They'll spin out in the first big sweeping turn like the guy in a Ford GT did a couple weeks ago in turn 1 at Brainerd.

That picture has been abused by all autox geeks for years. The miata will be overtaken shortly.

It takes a lot of work to get a Viper to turn.

scheides 06-25-2008 03:55 PM

Re: Food for thought...

When setup properly, and in an actual road race (not cone-dodging), the viper will woop ass over any miata. Google Paul Mumford. Experience, money, viper, endless victories.

Good pic none-the-less :) I like the jailbait ones better though...

Re: Food for thought...

Have you driven a viper?

Yes. Plus, from hanging out with the dudes at Archer I know all about what it takes to get them to become competitive track cars :)

Experience + money = endless victories even if you're driving a Tercel.

That Miata is just holding them up from lapping him for the 10th time.

Re: Food for thought...

Boosted and with a good suspension setup miatas really hold their own against the big boys.

Drifting an Evo is actually really easy. Must be the quick responsive steering and the front/rear power ratio. Especially with more power.

And halfway through writing this I read that you totaled your fucking car? Noooo Matt nooooo :(
