OWWDEE Binge
So the last few days I have been on an OWWDEE binge. I'm friends with Jordan Price, owner of mnaudi.com. He is buddies with a guy named Tony, who owns a company named EPL (European Performance Labs) based out of CT. Tony flies all over the country doing flash tuning on S4's and turbo porsches.
Starting wednesday night, I was at an undisclosed location in Minneapolis wrenching on OWWDEES, and then at DB dyno tuning them. What a blast, but what a PITA these cars are! I installed an Aquamist HFS-1 (alky injection system) in a car that has one of the first TiAL dual GT28RS kits to hit the market, and some nasty SMIC's in another S4 with some hybrid K04/RS6 hybrid turbos on it. I get what these guys are doing, and I am helping them, but now I need your help. They are building an army of fast OWWDEES to prowl the streets of the twin cities. We need to step up our game boys, they are making some DAMN good power. A few figures. All cars had these ER SMIC's installed, which are very efficient. One car with Standard K04's made 350whp on DB's DD dyno. These are off of an RS4, euro model... Next car, K04/RS6 hybrid turbos, made ~370whp w/ a slipping clutch. Next car, RS6 turbos (off an OWWDEE RS6, get it?) made 422whp All these cars were on pump gas, and these are basically oem components fit onto the S4. The RS6 car is basically on the verge of needing the bottom end built. Lastly, the thing I wasted soooo much time on, a guy named Ben's S4 with TiAL GT28RS's on it. Spooled at like 4500rpms, with alky, the car made 422whp with boost tapering to ~22psi at redline. These things are capable of pushing 35psi or so, and the bottom-end is built, but we had troubles with the wastgate actuators being too loose. Just adjust them, right? HAH! Almost impossible w/o taking the motor half-out, these things are so crammed. Glad I don't own one! ;D So why a binge you say? Weds: 7pm-2am, Thurs: 8pm-4am, Fri: 9am-2am, and Sat 10am-10pm. Long days, LOTS of problems, and lots of reasons for me to love my evo, and LOTS of reasons to spur us all into building OWWDEE KILLERS! Now go forth my friends, build your cars faster :) Also, I got a ride in the new v10 M5. Freaking sweet! Similar tranny to Anna's car, but sucky auto mode. |
Re: OWWDEE Binge
Buddy of mine has a chipped S4. Fun car and plenty of potential (when pushed passed the very low stock boost). Fortunately for us they are all really heavy.
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
Hmm, wonder what location that was?
Glad I missed all that. :P |
Re: OWWDEE Binge
hey now.. i like the s4 owwdee's :D i'd actually like to get one except you have to rip apart or remeove the engine almost to get to the turbos like you were saying. Although after I drove my uncles before he sold it they are quite nice!! and quick stock!

Re: OWWDEE Binge
I'd hate to work on VW's or Audi's now days. I can't even begin to start picking out different things in the engine bays.

Re: OWWDEE Binge
^I just did a motor swap in a vw bug. Ick

Re: OWWDEE Binge
vwbug is nothing compared to this. Wednesday, 1am:

Re: OWWDEE Binge
Hey, If you'd like to sponsor me, I'd be glad to build an OWWWDDEEEE KILLAAAA for you ;)
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
Sponsor!?! haha! These owwdees are entirely self-funded projects, getting them to this level is a $15k investment, easy.
You can afford the $3k it'd take to get a DSM or evo to this level, I'm sure :D ps--I can hardly afford to mod my car, how can I sponsor others!?? LOL! |
Re: OWWDEE Binge
For being V6s that shit is weaaaak sauce.
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
those sound like some fun cars. but dont fear my friends we are still lighter and most of us make close to that amount of power
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
I was at DB on saturday saw Scheides beleive it or not working hahahaha I was talking to Shane about some price's on that bomb ass P.T.E 62mm turbo. There was a sliver OWWDEE on the rollers with a kind've hidious looking Tial sticker on the door, but sounded mean, what did it end up with powa before I left she had 2 runs in at 358whp and you guys were still hard at it.
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
I saw you to! I was gonna jump in and say hi, but I got instantly distracted! It was a little crazy there :) That car made about 420whp, boost was all fubar b/c of some wastegate issues. boost up top was only like 22psi, with the alky, we were gunning for ~28psi.

Re: OWWDEE Binge
I had an audi, and the only engine I'd ever mod would be the 5cyl dohc 2.3L. Yum, they sound like music, and not just any music, a symphony.

Shit, in that case, I need to get my car running ASAP
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
3k? i think a little under 4k and you can have yourself an 11 sec dsm including price paid for buying the damn thing.
oowwwdddiieee killing with resume about june 22nd. oh yeah and it only takes 300hp, its not all peak power friend. I love those things though, i am gettting my eye full as we speak. |

I'm the best driver there ever was, Now I need to make my car faster.
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
That alky tank is really nice. :smoking:
I've always liked Owwdee's. Spendy little buggers though! I'll stick with my pedal-bike and my broken DSM. |
Re: OWWDEE Binge
Sweet cars. Ive always loved Audis, but the HP Vs. Cost is rediculous.
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
Never been in an Audi, but they look nice. I "tested and compared" against a modified S4 once when I had my t28, it had me by a length on a decent highway pull.

Tell that to Chris Deutsch when his Evo was loaded down with four people yesterday still tearing up the course!

Why not just get a sticker that says "I suck at driving"?
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
That sticker is awesome.

Re: OWWDEE Binge
Maybe they are more interested in making other people laugh than actually pounding on their car. I know if I had dubs with stretched tires I wouldn't be ripping around corners. You might damage your 10,000 dollar wheels.
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
They are S4s that are actually used for road racing. They aren't FWD VWs trying to look euro rice.

Re: OWWDEE Binge
Meh, I am just stuck with all the dumbass high school kids the guys that hang out at that Midwest Auto Werks or whatever the hell it is in Hudson. I get so damn sick of having every one of them rev at me every time I drive by. Only a couple of them are fast, but apparently VW's are the fastest things in the world.
I personally would love to have a Nogaro Blue B5 S4 Avant. But yeah, better things to spend my money on. |
Re: OWWDEE Binge
I think the new G8 plus handling mods would take care of that.
|

And they stretch. These damn VW/Audi guys think it's just amazing to stretch a 195 tire across an 8" rim. WTF. |
Re: OWWDEE Binge
That's so that when it's lowered all the way, the rim sticks out past the fender, and the tire goes up inside it. Duh!
|
Re: OWWDEE Binge
Thats so you can slam them and not rub rub rub! haha
