project reach-around

well now that I have some cash from parting the talon out it is time to finally put my 86 fiero gt back together. so far I have swapped it to a 5 speed from an auto and have a whole bunch of parts to put the engine back together.

that would be a complete 383 stroker kit and a ceramic sprung 6 puck act clutch

also have
remote oil filter
electric water pump
shorty headers
bosch high flow fuel pump
edelbrock intake
holley carb
msd coil
msd distributor
msd control box

ordering a comp 264/280 cam w/ hydrolic lifters and heavy springs

the complete engine build with everything cost less than the pistons and rods for the talon.

once the talon is out of the garage this weekend I will get some pics of the car.

got the cam, lifters and springs today.

There is already one of these running around, but the guy keeps destroying transmission or other driveline parts.

yeah that can happen, but doesn't every dsm running over 400whp destroy stock trans and other drive line parts. hence this is not my daily driver.

the oem trannys are good for 400whp and the axels are good for 500whp

got most the engine parts out of storage so its almost time to have it go back together

need some other things i found out but no biggie, engine goes out monday to get bored then assembly shall start

just waiting on the machine shop to ship me my engine back so we can start assembly, then just need to find some misc parts over in the storage locker for it.

hope that the block and heads will be back by middle of the week, then its time to go look for the rest of the parts and make a list of things i still need to buy.
