FS/FT: Sleeper 20g
 

It's a 16G turbo. Same set up as the Sbr 20G if you have heard of that. It is a 16G turbo mated with a 20G wheel. Better spool up time and less lag. It has a bigger 34mm flapper that eliminates that, so internally gated. This turbo is a complete rebuilt to specs by Garrett by Forced Performance last year. There's little play. Supposedly less than 1k on the setup, I bought it from a local who had it on his 2g. I'm looking to get 375 OBO or trade plus cash for a bigger turbo set up externally, such as a 20g or 50-trim.. let me know!

How long have you had that? What is the MAX boost on the turbo?

i've had it for a week, i was gonna put this on but i'm deciding to go with a 50 trim instead. the guy before me had it on a 2g. i need a turbo asap so make me an offer.

A week? So you are unsure how it runs...Where did he buy it from? Do you have the original reciept.

i'm unsure how it runs, i bought it off a local off of craigslist. he said it ran very well, he just upgraded his turbo. i don't have the receipt since he couldn't find it. yeh... a week, i bought a mani with exernal wastegate awhile back and decided to go with a bigger turbo as well.. so i decided to just get rid of this setup.

FYI this is NOT a standard 'sleeper 16G' or 'bastard 20G'. Those have a TD05 compressor housing, they look like a 14b from the outside. This is a different compressor housing with a 16g or 20g wheel under it.

Oh man you bought this from a guy with a red 2g who bought it from my Girlfriend and I. The turbo has roughly 20,000+ miles on it, including the used parts. It was not rebuilt by any company. The flapper is a old chevy V8 intake valve cut up to fit Jim (Talonfero) on the board here gave me the 2g and it was shot. I bought a big 16g to get it up and fixed. I used the internals, and the exhaust wheel from that and put it into this turbo. Good luck with the sale.

The turbo does look like the turbo this one dude is running in his red 2G eclipse GST. I met him back in the summer and the motor was a 2.3L. He lives in Brooklyn Center and the car is set-up as a sleeper.

I spoke with scheides on the phone yesterday. I found out that the guy that thesocaldude bought this from never even put it on his car. The turbo is good. It just has more mileage then he told you (he knew how many miles where on it and knew everything that had been done/put into the turbo. I have the emails to prove that. Its a good turbo and it spooled just fine when We had it on the 2g Spiceyorange has.

Ok, im confused. Let me get this straight from this turbo, what actaully is this turbo? Whats the housing? What is the compressor wheels? So now, I'm getting Santa had this turbo. What was your review on it? How did it spool? What was the mods that time when it was on the car? Was it rebuilt by you or a shop? If it was, does it need rebalanced? I just have a blown turbo and need something to get er' moving agian.

The Turbo was on MY car (2G GST). It spooled great (I had it set for 15-18PSI)it had very little shaft play and never had any oil blowby when we sold it. Kevin (Santa) Rebuilt it himself with used parts, it was never balanced, but there wasn't any shaft clearance/rubbing issues.. The car was mostly stock at the time (I don't think I had any engine mods on there at the time), and it ran great with the turbo on there. I just sold it because I got a deal on a 61 and didnt need the turbo anymore. The specs of the Turbo are:
Big 16G exhaust wheel in a mitsu 7cm exhaust housing, with a mitsu center section. a 20g compressor wheel housing and a 20g Comp wheel. As Santa said, there is NO way that turbo has less than 1k on it. When We sold it to Pheng, it had 11-18K on it from my car, not including the miledge on the used parts. It is a great little turbo for sure, and I would not have sold it if I knew if any problems, I don't like getting F'ed over and I wouldn't do it to someone else. Kevin and myself just don't want anyone to get "cheated" Or mislead on here from some dipshit (the kid who bought it from us)who thinks he can make a quick buck by lying to people on this board, and other places.
So don't feel threatened to buy it..I just want you to know what it is!
