Time to go public with the winter cruise info!

February 2 - 3, 2008.

We will be leaving from the Cities Saturday morning and returning Sunday afternoon. We will be cruising down to New Ulm once again, this time for the annual Schell's Brewery Bockfest which is basically a huge festival centered around drinking beer. We will be staying on the Mankato Days Inn hotel which costs $75/night. The best rate I can find is on Expedia.com so please book online ASAP since this is a popular festival and hotel rooms go quickly. All hotels in New Ulm are already booked full so dont lolly-gag and miss out on this. Everyone had a blast last fall so get in on the action! If for some reason you do have to back out you can cancel your hotel reservation 24 hours in advance and you will not be charged. No charge will show up on your card until you actually check-in so there is no reason not to make the reservation now.

For a meeting place I was thinking in the area of the Knollwood Mall in St. Louis Park (169 and 7) around 8am. Leaving early like that will give us plenty of time get to New Ulm by 11am when the festivities begin! Any other suggestions? Then plan will be to then drive to Mankato via 169 the entire way, drop some cars off at the hotel, then continue our way to New Ulm for beer and brats! If you plan to drink make sure you have a designated driver to get you back to the hotel. If there are any under-21 people coming and you're willing to be a driver please let us know so we can get that arranged. We can make further driving arrangements once we're at the hotel in Mankato.
