- Borg Warner S362 - T3 manifold - Tial 44 Wastegate - Swapping out Forge MBC for new Hallman MBC - New complete SS turbo back utilizing only V-Band's - New Fidanza Clutch - New TRE built tranny - JMF Intake Manifold - 1G N/T Throttle Body (cheap new 3930 seals) http://www.ebatmus.com/cart.epl?Buy=...580&Query=3930 - Still sticking with E85 :) - CF Hood - Radiator ducting - New headlights That about sums it up. The swap has begun. The old 50trim setup is out. Stuff is starting to make it's way into the engine bay now :) |

Get a twin disk you baller.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
Looks really nice brandon, any hopes for HP numbers?
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
As for the turbo, yes the plan is to utilize a Bullseye T3 housing on it. Tomorrow the turbo will be shipped to them so they can size an exhaust housing for it and tell me what my options are. They have an optional .70 A/R housing I believe, that has a V-Band outlet. That is what I really want. As for HP numbers, the car made 366 with a shitty tune on LSE"s dyno. I want to hit 500 with the new setup, and a 10.99 pass. My goal with these mods, is to hit 10's. We'll see.
As for the clutch, no thanks for twin disc. :) |
Re: My Winter Upgrades
looks good. you should be close to the 500.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
ClutchMasters 2500 with the sprung 4 puck ceramic disc is something you should really look into.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
I chose this turbo for a couple reasons. I'm really interested to see how these BW turbos perform. I've been researching up on them for a good 8 months now, and they really peaked my interest with their ETT design. I haven't heard anything negative at all about them, so I don't see why not. The S362 is what I've wanted the entire time. They are expensive so the only thing stopping me was the cost. Well then I found a used one locally for a hell of a deal. It came with a divided T4 housing, but I want to run it in a T3 housing. BE is the only company I know that makes something like this, so I'm sending it to them so they can make sure they have something that'll work on it.

Just threw some new headlights I got off ebay for cheap. No more sealed lenses. These just use common H4 bulbs. Ricer Polish Pete at Maple Grove Goodyear hooked me up with some H4 pigtails for dirt cheap, that I soldered in just now. Worked like a charm, thanks Pete! I have to do a little grinding before I can mount them in place though as the backs are a little larger then the normal ones.
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
Ahh man if I knew you wanted some of those I would have sold you my old h4 conversions from my popup 1g. Looks good though!
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
Did you have to grind away or modify anything to get yours to fit?

this looks like an awesome build you have going. |
Re: My Winter Upgrades
No I just popped mine in. Had to seal the H4 bulbs I put in though.. with silicone since the rubber cap wasnt so great. I had hid looking 100 watt bulbs in there. haha
The beam pattern was good on low beams but highs sucked... I did have to modify the wiring but those adapters you got work better. |
Re: My Winter Upgrades
Ricer.
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
I had some H4 bulbs in a vw scirocco, but they weren't re-wired or something needed to be done, but they were really dim. As long as you get 'em bright, they should be pretty sweet.
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
ali has a set of the h4 headlight I put in her 90 they fit with out any grinding
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
My galant uses these kinds of bulbs from the factory. Peter, got any pics of what yours look like? I didn't really get an adapter though. I just cut off the stock connectors, and Pete got me some H4 pigtails, and I just soldered them on, heat shrank em, made it look purdy.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
Sweet! How big are those? I'm putting a 65mm ported stocker on my evo here soon.... :)
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
How much bigger than stock are those?

They are the same size. I got it for $30 of ebay. The thing I like about them is that instead of having a TB elbow attach to it, you just clamp a coupler right to it.
Also took the old FIAV/ISC blockoff plate off of my old TB and put it on this one. QPR ni66az |
Re: My Winter Upgrades
oh i see, that good, cause then i would have a boost leak, but then you have to buy new hardware too right, cause u will need shorter bolts.
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
Yes I will. I plan on changing a lot of my hardware this winter though. ACE right up the road has a pretty good bolt selection I think. I'm going to probably switch to some black hardware were I can. Possible socket head bolts if possible.

Well headlight housings have been ground, and headlights are in and functioning. Right now they have some blue light bulbs in them, which they came with. I'll see how they work, and if they are crap I'll just put in some normal ones.
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
Are you sure the beam pattern on those is DOT? I think this may be a hazard to the health of my retinas. Brandon please take pictures of the beam pattern before you venture out on the road. thanks. :)

Re: My Winter Upgrades
OOOOOWWWWWWWww, that shit burned my eye.
|
Re: My Winter Upgrades
Just did some more work on the baffling I will be putting in to try and keep the air going through the radiator. Also building a small scoop underneath to scoop some air up in from under the car, in to the radiator.
