I just had the most horrific moment of my life!

Here I was, IM'ing Hughes about how he needs to buy my extra set of Linkin Park tickets.....I will quote it here for historical correctness:

2:23 GAH!

AAAHHHHHHH! I cannot believe I have lived for 2 years w/o this song beating against my ear drums. How did this happen? I cannot even begin to imagine. I am now almost in tears, it is playing through my headphones and people at work will surely ask me if everything is ok.

I will only be able to respond: "the fault is my own, and the fault is my own!!!"

This is one of those amazingly aweful tragedies in life.....

LP = screaming emo's with dads that did not love them....
But they kick ass though.

Not another one of these fuck'n LP = EMO statements. I'm off to listen to Blake Lewis.

Emo is a fashion. If the band was around before emo was, they aren't emo. I'm also pretty much starting to think even emo music is just music, it just so happens that emo kids listen to it exclusively... like metal... used to be only kids who wore nothing but black listened to metal, but shit I barely wear black and listen to a ton of metal.

Also! Somewhere I Belong is a hell of a song to be missing from that album! That's like the anthem of the whole album, haha.

Re: I just had the most horrific moment of my life!

They just rock so damn hard, and that is one of those songs that really really rocks! It's like forgetting your little kid in the back seat of your car at the airport, and you just landed in some far-off land! But I digress....

As if to answer my prayers, I got my confirmation today for LPunderground.com, free tshirt, couple cds, dvds, etc. Fcking ticketmaster makes you buy it with the tix for the concert....

^:GoogleHell2:

I've been listening to this LP song for the last few days, yeah it's user made, but what a coincidence!

It'd rock to go to that concert but shit. I'd rather buy parts for my car that doesn't run.

I loved their stuff til the new album. Not as good as Meteora and the incoherent attempt at a political opinion on there should have been left off the album. I feel like I'm listening to some of NIN's whiney crap. Other than that, it's decent.

Yes, they were very good in concert. Probably an 8 or so.

Re: I just had the most horrific moment of my life!

I thought emo music was the stuff from the late 80's early 90's like Diary by Sunny Day Real Estate, or Bivouac and 24hr Revenge Therapy by Jawbreak, and Milo Goes to College by the Descendants?

Not to mention everyone that "claimed" emo back then used to dress up like a bunch of spock kids.

Those were the days.

I feel old.

BTW, I still listen to Jawbreaker and they still kick ass! Dear You is known as their "sell out" record but I still think its one of their best! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a kind of poppy punk record, would be interested to see what the emo kids today think of the album.

Damn I wanna go to that concert... just listening to some LP and reminiscing the Metallica/LP concert. They are a great live band.

Re: I just had the most horrific moment of my life!

LP = awesome
Nickelback = total sellout crap that only sounds good drunk(sorry to the nickelback fans. Had to be said)

LP would be a great concert! Last concert I made it to was Foo Fighters and Weezer.

I know the feeling of missing music though. Just recently figured out I could put my old hd into an external hd case and access all my lost music again like a usb drive.

IMO, Nickelback is pure crap. Dr Seuss can write better rhymes than that guy. Every one of their songs sounds exactly alike.

+1

They got lucky a few times early in their career, now they are like a shitty band for girls to dance to when they are drunk.

Which I generally don't mind... buuuut...

Green Day > LP

Green day has been around longer but
:sex020:
90% of green day's stuff is 3 chord based strums with flat lyrics. They are popular but nothing cutting edge.

Basic punk rock, I do not know why I like them so much. I like a few songs off the new LP album, and all the old stuff rocks for sure.

Green Day will always get play on my radio, especially the older stuff.

Some of the Warning album I am kind eh to, but everything else I can listen to all the time with no problem. Kerplunk and 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours are awsome then they hit it big in 94/95 with Dookie.

Emo music was so like... 3 years ago.

I'd like to say pretty much every song on LP's CD's are pretty decent, I don't know many other bands whose entire CD's are good.
