ARP Flywheel bolts

Alright, I found a good deal on the ARP Supra flywheel bolts. These are the same a DSM ones, but 1/4" longer. They allow more thread engagement and are usually used with a spacer from an auto DSM. The spacer will also help prevent them from loosening and is only $7.

The price is great per bolt from the place I am getting them from, but shipping isn't. I am looking for someone to split shipping costs. $28 for a 6 bolt or $32 for a 7 bolt. I could meet someone at a Bee's get together to deliver them, or I am in Fridley.

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

Yah we'll see. When can you get them here by? Also do you have a part number for the spacer?

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

I should have them in a few days I think, sometime next week I am sure. I have a thread in the Brookdale section for the spacer, Nick posted the part number there. He knows which one to order now.

The cheapest I have found these for at other places is $43 without shipping.

This is what I am using to try and fix the exact same problem you are having. Mine has happened 6 times though!!

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

I just reread the first post and im a little confused. How much are these going to cost me? $28 shipped?

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

Yes, if you have a 6 bolt. Besides the place I found them at, the cheapest was $43 online. So you will pay $28 shipped if a 6 bolt or $32 shipped for a 7 bolt.

Jet,

Check these out:

I should be able to get you a little better deal too if you are interested ;) We just used these in the RX7 and there was no need for a spacer, they are from a Toyota 3SGTE platform. It also comes with 8 bolts, so it would work for the 6 bolt or 7 bolt platform.

Well either way you go I want a set!!

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

Thanks Chris, but .020" isn't going to do much. That is the width of 5 human hairs. These other ones are .230" longer. The spacer plate is supposed to help on its own also.

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

Yeah that's a typo, I meant .20" lol.

Hmm...change your web page :D If I would have known they were .200" I would have ordered them from you guys. The order is already placed though.

Just to update this, the fucking Supra flywheel bolts don't fit, you need the ones for the 3GSTE. Stupid ass on NABR posting bad info.

Supra uses 10mm bolts, not 12mm. Now I just got back from Brookdale and they fucking gave me flywheel bolts for an automatic. An automatic doesn't have flywheel bolts. This is pissing me off.

I was woundering why I didn't get a call. If you find ones that work let me know.

Re: ARP Flywheel bolts

Alright, this isn't really the right spot for this, but if someone finds it in a search I will finish this out. I ended up using the stock Mitsu bolts for an auto car. You will need to check the depth of the threads to make sure it will work. If you screw it in all the way and have less than .660" from the top of the bolt head to the end of the crank, then you are ok and can just use the longer bolts and auto spacer plate. Note, this is for a twin disk with a .315" thick flywheel (standard PTT). It *should* work with a regular clutch too, but double check the measurements. I am pretty sure the stock flywheel is thicker so there shouldn't be an issue.

Also, make sure you have a dowel pin in the crank. Mine didn't and that was probably the main culprit of why mine loosened up.
