jhaan_dude is a good guy *edit* BAD GUY!

julian has helped a bad situation become a great one
i was a virgin to these dsm's i jumped the gun and jumped all over a 91 eclipse gsx it was a pile of crap when i got it and i could have gotten rolled around again and again on this car but met a good dude that helped clean up the body and some other mechanical problems with the car and with juliens help and him giving me parts for my car its finaly somthing i actualy am almost proud to drive

he has been good to talk to and get info and advise on what to do next with my car matter of fact last weekend he spent about 8 hours working on my car and now it runs like a bat out of hell

cman3000 02-25-2009 12:06 AM

meh

Well, i paypaled jhaan the money for a DNP manifold on the 8th of January, and it didn't come until the 22nd of february, a day after when my car left to go get tuned(too late). He had many reasons for why this was, but one would think you could ship a box faster than a month and a half. Also, the DNP nameplate on the manifold fell off, which i was not aware of until about a month after buying it, and i found this out from another member, not jhaan until i confronted him about it. Overall it wasn't a great transaction. :score003:

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

yeah julian had owed me over a thousand dollars for a supercharger for his VW, i gave him the benifit of the doubt, after i was promised So many things in such a short time spand, i enede up taking random misc. things just to clear the debt, some stuff didn't even work! and going to his work every payday to collect, asked him everyday where my money was, excuses from his girlfriend was in the hospital to he got kicked out of his house and had to travel HOURS from his work to a buddy of his in stacy,mn because he had NO other place to stay!! took him 3+ months to return SOME of the money, still owes me couple hundred dollars, then cries and wonders why i took his colateral, and that magnus intake he had was stolen from a buddy of mines brother! not happy, he can't get any credit from me. 0/10 on this one.

I just recently bought injectors from Julian, and they seem to work just fine. Good communication and fast shipment.

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

as for rocket2g, he dissapeared off the map with my gt35r, even though i called him religiously while i was in the middle of a job change to make sure that he still had it. now he comes out of the woodwork to bash me! unbelievable, he dissapeared faster than hudini!

asshanson 04-08-2009 01:21 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

I thought you said that gt35r I gave you was junk and that you used the housings on another car?

jhaan_dude 04-08-2009 02:18 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

i did i bought the scm6152e center from carrie (95 talon racer) and use the housings on it!

eclipse_spyder 04-09-2009 01:30 AM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

I don't mean to cause anything but you gave rocket2g a junk gt35r?

jhaan_dude 04-09-2009 11:24 AM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

no, i gave him a scm6152e rebuilt center cartridge, with gt35r intake and exhaust housings. so the turbo was just fine!

and as for the magnus intake, this bastard has no idea whats going on. all he does is start shit on a forum he was almost banned on! i bought the magnus from stephan (GREASEMONKEY). so unless stephan stole it then you just keep going with the lies!

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

I recently met jhaan and he has been more of a help than anybody I've met I currently am in the process of building my 1g and he is accepting payment plans and has driven over 500 miles to get me certain parts. And he bought me a beer!

rocket2g 04-09-2009 04:39 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

That turbo was junk! OMG!, Nothing was fixed or rebuilt, UNusable, you didn't put any turbo on a car, you tried dishing it off to me to knock your debt off,

I was at least HONEST (JUNK) when i sold it as a WTF?! turbo and he got rid of it as fast as he could after he realized that it was even worst then what i thought!

And yeah, he obviously can't make everyone happy, I'm not trying to cause drama, he probably did get his sh*t together now, but WOW, you where a mess when i delt with you buddy,

/anymore replys from rocket2g,

such is life and yours wasnt much better. never having the same cell number for more than a day, using your brothers account to sell parts...if you would have kept in touch i can bet things wouldnt have turned out this way!

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

this dude owes me fuckin 440 bucks, since Dec.

i was in the process of buying his awd from him, and i ended up in the position that i had to move back down to SC.

so i told him, sell the car to someone else, and pay me back my money. But, if i have to pay the storage fee that the car was sitting, id keep it and see what i could do about it.

..so it ends up sold, by him, yet he charges me the storage fee. No biggie, i can live with that. We arranged to haver payment made with cash and random car audio stuff... i was going to give him 50 bucks for the trouble anyways.

i have YET to see a dime. every time i ask him, "he has this problem, has that problem" yet he was posting up a thred to buy used turbos...??

COME ON MAN. Seriously, i think i told you about My gf going to jail and all...she has a pretty sweet lawyer who owes her a little bit of time and money, and we have no problem using it on you if this stuff doesnt get resolved. This is going way to long

TurboATM 04-10-2009 09:16 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

i mean dont get me wrong, he is very helpful and such, and knows alot about these cars from what i can tell...but not when it comes to paying back what is owed.

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

julien i forgot the cry bucket at home ill be sure to grab it so you can catch this guys tears.

Dude not every transaction is going to be perfect and if i read right you were in the process of buying a car from julien and you were making payments and then fell on hard times. I hear ya we all have been there but ill tell ya if you couldnt make payments on the car i wouldnt pay you back a thing.

he did you a favor by letting you make payments if you couldnt come through with all of the payments id work with you and hold off on selling the car give you some time to make payments but i wouldnt give you any money back.

thats just me though i guess im a dick and so is julien for opening the national redneck bank of julien

Julian is a good dude in my mind, haven't had a single issue with buying things from him so far. In fact the turbo i bought from him is having issues and he is willing to warranty his work. Its good to know there are some guys that stand behind their work enough to help someone out when something goes wrong.

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

It seems that you are like the 3rd person to have troubles with his turbos that he has sold.

I bought my turbo knowing it was slightly used so not like i was expecting to have a brand spanking new one. The fact of the matter is, that he is willing to step in and help with the problems that I am having. Not many people would throw a warranty on their product. The way I look at it, hes comfortable enough with his work to say, "if it breaks, ill fix it." Which most shops wont even do.

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

Just thought that I would thank Julian again, he came over the other day and even though it was my motors fault for my turbo going out, he still fixed it free of charge. Also stayed a little while longer to help out dane get his 1g running the way its supposed to (and finding the mystery vacuum leak...haha). Dane would like to extend a thanks to you Julian. Looking forward to doing business with you in the future as well.

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

In regards to the posting I had made a link too, regardless of the difference of opinions pertaining to why the turbo keeps blowing thrust plates, jhaan has stood by it and replaced what was destoyed each time, costing him a good chunk of money, which is pretty good of him.

I will vouch for Julian on buying a magnus from me, The way you could tell it was mine was because the #1 & #2 Runner have been re-welded a couple of times because of the shitty SBR FMIC i had on the car at the time..

If anyone thinks i stole it, You can contact me personally and i will show you the receipt for it.

And as far as that 2G he was selling i heard the whole story on that, Because i was going to buy it when the guy wasn't paying him. I think he was more then patient with you and i wouldn't refund you a dollar either.

I've delt with Julian a good few times and every time i've delt with him he has been very honest and a pleasure to deal with!

Just my.02, I dont like my name being brought up and there being confusion.

He followed through with purchasing my flyhweel. thanks again for coming to pick it up at my work as I believe that worked out best for both of us since I live so far far far away.

4seasons69 10-01-2009 11:55 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

well here is my experience with him. overall dealing with him was a breeze. followed through with everything he said he would do even seperated my exhaust mani from my old turbo. and overall seems like a nice guy.

his product on the other hand is mediocre. I barely drove 120 miles with the turbo I got from him and it's blowing oil and there is a bunch of shaft play.

so overall for customer service I give him a 9 out of 10 (he was a great guy to deal with)

for his product 6 out of 10

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

i sent him a pm, told him he needs a restrictor.

95talonracer 10-02-2009 09:11 AM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

Journal bearing should not need restrictors if oil pressure is in the normal range and if the turbo is properly built. I know that for a fact because I talked to the head guy at PTE themselves and he said. Now a BB turbo will and I got a restrictor for my pte BB turbo from PTE. The guy at Precision said that their journal bearing turbos like alot of oil since they are not water cooled. 4seasons69 just send it in to Precision and have it done right and correct the first time. They are great guys and are willing to explain things and work with you there.

jhaan_dude 10-02-2009 01:43 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

yes it needs a restrictor! talk to blackrosenova about this! we have been down this road a million times! if you feed from the head you shouldnt need one, but if you feed from the filter housings you are seeing the full pressure from the pump plus massive volume. since the turbo has a open port on the oil channel it will just poor oil in there at high pressure causing it to blow by the exhaust seal! i had the same problems with blackrosenova's turbo 3 times before he put in a restrictor. now his turbo has zero issues. there is no more to talk about on this subject until i rebuilt it and he puts in a restrictor!

blackrosenova400 10-02-2009 01:51 PM

Re: jhaan_dude is a good guy

Actually after it started to smoke again the second time, I did run a .078 restrictor the third time. It didnt run very long before it had in/out play again. Then this time i messaged a bunch of Garrett representatives and figured out a .110 would be the best restrictor with my specific source oil pressure. Then you put in a 360 thrust and I put the turbo back in, now Im running over 30 and shes holding like a rock.

I was a little upset last night when I posted that so I edited it and think it's more than a fair review. I didn't mean to bash you in anyway just giving an honest review.

Kerry I agree 100%. I spoke with the lead rebuild guy at pte. He also said my turbo (standard journal 360degree bearing) wants as much oil as I can get it. I wrecked two of my current 67's feeding from the head. He told me go directly from the oil filter housing with NO RESTRICTOR. since then I've had the turbo on my car for 3,000 miles and it has absolutly 0 shaft play and does not push a drop of oil out of either sides of the turbo.

I agree. He was very firm on the fact that with PTE rebuilding the turbo, he wasted it to have alot of oil and told me that he almost wouldnt warranty it if i did run a restrictor. He said if i wanted to run a restrictor then get a ball bearing turbo, and so I ordered my BB turbo from him along with the restrictor.

ok if this continues we need to start a thread containing it. kinda need to keep the person review thread to just that!

Um this is part of a review. People have to know what is going on.
