Stolen Motorcycles

If anyone in the Coon Rapids area sees a blue Kawasaki Ninja650R, or a black Yamaha R1 let me know asap. Both bikes are '07s. Sometime within the last three or four hours, someone stole mine, and my friend's bikes from the parkinglot. The Kawasaki had a Scorpion aftermarket exhaust, and chrome handlebars. The R1 was all stock.

No shit. I cant even imagine what I would do if someone stole my Talon. Did the parking lot have cameras?

The thing about theives is, you'll never get your hands on them, and you'll be lucky if your bikes are ok when the police find them, which is what will happen.

Good luck, stay calm, no one in your family was hurt, I'm sure, so be happy about that. I had my Tbird broken into once and a bunch of stuff stolen, I was mad for months and thought about it once in a while for years, but now that I look back, there's nothing I could have done, other than park elsewhere, or take the cd player face off (shoulda, but you know that hindsight stuff is pretty clear). In the end it's not worth it to get upset, there's always insurance, and winter's coming up soon anyway.

I had my bike stolen 2 years ago. They ended up getting it back, but it was vandalized some. Hopefully your outcome is as good!

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

I'm not overly pissed about it cuz I have insurance, it just feels like the most insulting thing anyone could do. And believe me, if I ever find out who did it, heads would definatly roll. They were taken sometime between noon and 4:30. The apartments don't have any cameras in the lots which totally blows. After I had gotten done talking with the police my friend and I were standing there talking, when I noticed a tire track going through the grass next to where I parked and through a couple trees into the church's parkinglot next door.

That because its so easy to do and get away with. My friends honda got stolen and the cops didnt do anything. The cops told him where they found it and my friend said there was a oil trail(from the turbo feed that was removed but not caped) to an alley.
But anyways that sucks man! I hope you get them back!

And exactly what would you do about it? Unless you know who took it and where it is, it's just gone and there's nothing you can do about it. I've had it happen three times with cars, nothing you can do but wait.

That sucks man
anytime I see a bike in the back of a pickup I'm tempted to call the police, just to give them a licence plate number

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

Nothin from the cops yet, I called yesterday and they said since they hadn't found it yet, they probably wouldn't find it at all. Talked to my insurance company yesterday as well, and they agreed to pay off the loan. So that made me heppy. I got a little anxious after work and decided to go to the hitching post and get a new toy. Some of you saw it at 'Bee's last night, but I'll put some pics ofit up as soon as I get my digital camera back from my brother.

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

I guess they never found your bike. I see you picked up a SV1000. How is the torque on the bike?

TkrPerformance 10-10-2007 11:21 AM

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

they found his bike. it was in a high speed chase and was dumped when the guy hit a curb. they cought him also

Kevin 1G Drummer 10-10-2007 09:32 PM

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

Haha I kinda forgot about this thread. Yeah, they found the bike, the guy dumped it, ran, and got taken down by a K9 officer. As for the SV1000, I love it. Mid range torque is amazing, and has more than enough power up top to keep up with most other bikes on the road. To top it all off, it's more comfortable than other sportbikes, and I pay less for insurance on this than I did on the '06 GSX-R600 I had for a summer.

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

So did you keep the old bike then

Kevin 1G Drummer 10-11-2007 07:07 PM

Re: Stolen Motorcycles

No, insurance took it since they considered it a total loss.
