Dynoed today.

1 Attachment(s)
I went to LSE for the 3 pulls for $40 today. Im very happy with what my car put down. It made a little more power then I was exspecting.

We had a few problems With the TPS sensor on my Q45 Throttlebody but I got it working before the last pull.

Thanks alot john for letting me make a few extra pulls and for the help. I think you forgot to change the Name on the printout though.

Pulls were on E-85 28 psi 2.0 SCM-61 DSMLINK

NICE!!!! Now thats some sweet power, good job.

Re: Dynoed today.

Wow, that is some power. I have a similar setup in daily driver 1G and it put down 436awhp. Even with the drivetrain loss for FWD vs AWD, you probably still have 20-30whp on my car. Do you have a chart with boost on it? What RPM did it hit 28psi? I still need to do a sheetmetal intake, hopefully that will pick up around 20awhp and get me into your power range.

Awesome man!

Re: Dynoed today.

I only have the one chart. John might know when It hit 28. It spiked over 30 right away then settled in to the upper twentys. Im running an internal wastgate so the boost wasn't to stable at those levels.

Awsome power, and still running a stock turbo mani and internal gate. Sweet.

Nice job Carl! I am glad to see my old Laser coming back better than ever! I want to get in there for that special too. I have about the same setup too, but with the stock intake mani like shane. I hope to be around 460 awhp like I was last year on 111. Did you get the HRC DP from JoeM on here?

Re: Dynoed today.

Well I could be an ass, but 3 clean pulls is what I normaly try to give you guys, its a little harder with your bald DR's and maxing your injectors so I can not use my easy injector back probe for Tach pick up, and spinning tires is something I am not used to also. I will print off a new graph with your name and info on there, I forgot, and if you want a boost vs A/F I can do that, swing by when ever to get them.

Thanks again John. No big deal on the printout. But I might need it for some sceptics.

I think on the last pull they were in the lower 50's. I posted A LOG on the link forum from one of the first pulls. I think was around 45 pounds per min

Halon 08-27-2007 08:55 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

45lbs? At what PSI was that? My 50 trim clocks in about 41lbs on Link at 25psi.

Nice, i think us E85 guys need a little meet of our own, and for once i am not talking about racing, i have a lot of questions and maybe some answers too.

Congrats again man, what is the rest of your fuel setup? A lot of skeptics said that E85 would max a 255 at 375hp.

LMK about this E85 meeting, i would have it at my place if u wanted.

carltalon 08-27-2007 11:05 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

Im runnning dual intank 255's Id totaly be up for a meeting to discuss E85 Ive done alot of reserch andn would be happy to share the knowlege

How about during the fall cruise? We will be scheduling fuel stops, need to find some E85 stations :)

I would say not accurate at all.

I would guess my car maybe makes around 400HP maybe more on a Dyno Dynamics and it flows 54lbs per minute on the Link. Mine is an unhacked 2g MAF at 27psi with the PTE 3561.

Re: Dynoed today.

Kyle at MAP was making well over 375 I think when he was on his SC61 and an intank 255hp. I guess I don't know what his setup was in detail, but just remember that he was using just a 255hp last season when he ran his 11's

Shane@DBPerformance 08-28-2007 02:23 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

I have Evo customers making 320-375awhp on the DD with single Walbros on E85. A single Walbro should probably be good to 425-450whp on a Dynojet.

Re: Dynoed today.

Don't mean to jack the thread but I myself got my damn car dyno tuned by John and Josh over at LSE last Friday, but it was no where near any of all the numbers all of you posted on your cars. :frown: Mine dynoed at 267whp for my 2g gst e3 16g and supporting mods. I believe that was at 16 or 17psi. Correct me if I'm wrong Josh. Boost controller wasn't working normally so they couldn't set it at 20 or 21 psi. Overall, great service. We'll see if the money was worth it.:sasmokin:

^if you have no control over timing that is probably what is wrong, most of us use dsmlink or aem.

Wish I had dsmlink but I went the other route with safc 2 and maft. Maybe later down the road I'll get dsmlink if my goals decide to get bigger with this car.

Goat Blower 08-28-2007 06:56 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

You can't expect a whole lot at a measly 17psi on a 16G. Even 21 psi still ain't much on a small turbo.

Halon 08-28-2007 07:04 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

267 is not that bad of a number for what you have at all. You can't compare them to everyone else's dynojet numbers, these dynos read lower. What matters is you actually spent the money to get it tuned so it's running at it's peak. Don't worry about the dyno numbers.

Shane@DBPerformance 08-28-2007 07:31 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

267whp isn't bad at all.

DSM_421 08-28-2007 07:37 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

Mine only made 282 on 20 psi so 267 ain't bad at all for a D.D.

scheides 08-28-2007 08:37 PM

Re: Dynoed today.

My 2G made 280 on a 20G and stock cams, my Evo made 266whp on mods & stock cams, your 267whp is good power!

Pushit2.0 08-29-2007 11:09 AM

Re: Dynoed today.

It think the highest HP 2g fwd evo 3 16g car was 27x.x, and a new/better boost controller at 20-21psi will help your setup a lot.
