Winona floods alot. Thats what happens when you build a city on a swamp.

Sucks for every one effected by it though.

My mom called and said that she heard a couple people died there?

Re: Winona flooding

Yeah, it does suck. The thing I'm worried about is a mudslide coming into my home because I live in the valley right behind Sugar Loaf rock.

Hope your talon's alright though. Got full coverage?

Here's some new pics my g/f took:

So far I've heard of 5 or 6 known deaths from this. Crazy shit.

Tomorrow I have off work, so I'll go out and snap some pics of everything.

Does anyone know if the highways are still open north of winona? Like the Wabasha area? I have to drive through there in the morning around 6 or 7am.

Mostly, anywhere there's a lake in Winona there's flooding of some sort it seems.

I'm betting who's ever car that is on the hoist is sure happy his car is being wokred on. "keep my car as long as you like."
that's some crazy shit, and people still drive through it with cars.

That still sucks.... Granted its rainning like cats and dogs here. Its making me think to call my home owners insurance company just to make sure.

Re: Winona flooding

So today they finally decided to let us in. i open the garage door and its a mess. I looked in the car and i see mold over every thing. it looks really bad. so i pull it out and bleach it all and she started up. Oil was all messed up and pure milk, but that was from a previous leak that was keeping the car from the road. So i think i might be able to save the interior but i dont know if its worth it. might be time to pull the whole interior and strip it all and get racing seats. Wait till i post some pics it was terible

AJ 08-26-2007 11:08 PM

Re: Winona flooding

Damn, that's about all I can say. I don't think I'd have the heart to keep a car after that.

Re: Winona flooding

Ya im still not sure what im going to do. ill post pics later today. Maybe its time to move on to a spyder

Re: Winona flooding

Every car that got flooded is automatically totaled. Insurance companies won't even bother trying to fix a flood car. The water gets into so many different places you'll never get rid of it all. We've repaired a couple at the shop, but they kept on coming back with different problems related to the water damage.

twack 08-27-2007 08:02 PM

Re: Winona flooding

Well the water didnt get into the engine, just into the oil but thats from a leak the size of my fist (kidding) i already had. She runs and all but the interior was a mess, ive been bleaching the hell out of it and have it all cleaned up and getting fixed now. So i might just gut the interior and look for new seats. Dont puke when you see them.

Re: Winona flooding

That mold looks horriable. Be careful around it, it can make you very sick.

How high did the water get?
