Your Favorite Twin Cities Restaurants

I'm curious to see what some of the top restaurants are in the twin cities by votes from our membes.

Name your top 3 and if you want add lip a llittle comment on them. I'll put a list together and rank them based on where they fell in individual ranks.

Lets only include restaurants where you sit down and get to enjoy apps, drinks, main course, deserts, ect ect.

Way too many good places out there but my top list so far...

Ruby Tuesdays- Used to go there all the time so its just a casual favorite...

Mannys- Best steak ever.

PF Changs- My fav ameri-chinese place..

Then theres other good places: sunsets, rock bottom, atlas grille, mcormik and shmicks, melting pot.

I really want to try Fogo de chai, supposed to be amazing.

Re: Your Favorite Twin Cities Restaurants

1) Melting Pot ~ Expensive, but great dessert and a great place for a social gathering

2) Benihana ~ Expensive, but entertaining and great shrimp sauce!

3) Olive Garden ~ Lower cost and unlimited salad and breadsticks!

1 - Benihana. Great food, little on the spendy side when you go all out with drinks and such. Shrip Sauce FTW!

2 - Chevys. I think Bloomington is the only one still open. Tomilito is awesome, big fan of their Fajitas!

2 - Guadalahara. Located in Rogers on the south side of 94. Great mexican, low price, tasty drinks. Again, big fan of their Fajiatas!

Pancho Villa - Little family owned restaraunt on eat street in South Minneapolis. Quite simply, the best mexican food I've had in the cities. Just look at the clientelle and you can see that this is some good authentic mexican food. Plus two for one margaritas!!

Town Hall - 7 corners (near the dome) in Minneapolis. They have pretty good food, and great beer. But the best thing about this place is the atmoshere. Nothing beats sitting out on thier patio on a nice afternoon and enjoying some great beer with a few friends.

The French Meadow - Somewhere on Lyndale in South Minneapolis. This is a great place to get some fresh food that's a little different. It's a little on the lighter side (soups, sandwiches, etc.) but they also have some excelent breakfast choices too. It's a great place to go the morning after a good night of drinking. :)

Chinese: Little Schezuan on University in St. Paul(Order from the "Black" menu), also Hong Kong Noodle on the U of M campus. Manderin Yen in Tonka

Indian: Not much for really good Indian, but India Palace in Roseville, and Surabi just south of 494 on 35w are the best two we have.

Thai: Chiang Mai Thai, King and I, Taste of Thailand.

Burgers: Fuddruckers, 50's Grill(I think thats the name.. by Brookdale)

Forgot about Seafood, but what Steve said, Oceanaire is the best in town.

There is a seafood buffet my parents love on Central in Col. Heights. I've never been there, but they really like the place(the deal really).

Kozlaks does great Lobster and Shrimp. Great steak as well come to think of it.

But really, Red Lobster is great for the price.

I've had it, one of my friends is Lao and he had me try it... Good and VERY spicy!

Forget papaya salad. Shit's nasty. I'm asian and I don't even touch it. I think its nasty. Reason why people have to go use the bathroom so bad after eating it is b/c the Papaya is actually a Laxative.

But the restaurants I like. In no order.

1. Porterhouse Steak & Seafood. (Very good steak / seafood there.) *Little Canada*
2. TGIF (Good quick meals. Hot waitresses.) *I like the one in Roseville*
3. Chang Mai Thai (Again, good quick meals but they are really good) *Uptown*
4. Stella's. (Also good seafood here) *Uptown*
5. Having my girl cook while I watch TV. *Minneapolis or Little Canada*

The Nook right by Cretin Derham Hall. I love their Nookie burgers. Nookie burgers and Juicy Lucy's are the best burgers in town.

Kahns

Texas Roadhouse (Yes there is one out here in Cleveland)

famous Dave's or Market Bar-B-Que in Wayzata (There is a better BBQ place called Hoggy's They slow cook there pork and chicken and also hand dip there Onion rings that place is to die for.)

Re: Your Favorite Twin Cities Restaurants

Wow this is insanely hard, but here goes:

#1 absolute favorite: Martini Blu (2nd level of Grand Hotel). Cannot be touched by anything else, BEST sushi and BEST martinis in town! You should all go there and sit at the sushi bar and just ask for chef's choice. Channo and Robi are INSANE they will fill you with food and then get you to drink yourself silly! Absolutely amazing. GO HERE!

#2 M&S Grill (6th street I think). Great food of many varieties all around, pull-the-chair-out-for-the-ladies kind of place, but everything from good pasta to burgers on the menu.

#3 Mickey's Diner in downtown St. Paul. Nothing can beat this place at 3am when you're drunk and rowdy. No real appetizers except what falls off your neighbor's plate. :)

#4 is a mix for me right now: PF Changs, Pei Wei, and Benihana. Can't decide which I like more, each has their own pizaaz, all are good.

Re: Your Favorite Twin Cities Restaurants

#1 Biaggi's in Maple Grove - Kick ass Italian, best I have had and I love Italian. Prices are very reasonable. The Lobster Fettucinni is great, as is the Penne Sardi, I haven't had anything bad there. Desserts are kick ass too!

#2 Ichiban's - Spendy, but good food, especially the Chilean Seabass, yum!! They cook it right in front of you and put on a good show on the grill.

#3 Capital Grill - Spendy, but great food.

Honorable mentions, Acapulco has good mexican and cheap drinks (margarita's by the pitcher), Khahn's mongolian buffet, make it how you like. Bella's in Blaine, Italian place with awesome atmosphere, but food not as good as Biaggi's and costs more.

I forgot my favorite snack of all time. Onion rings at Porky's. I drive over there for lunch at least once a month, mostly just for the rings, their burgers suck.

We are actually hitting up Mt Fuji tonight for the first time. We are big Benihana fans, so we will see how it is.

YOu can't really put places like Buffalo Wild WIngs in the same catergory with some of these places. It's like putting gay man pron in a hottie thread, just doesn't work.
