Last minute builds/changes before Proving Grounds on July 8th?
 

Just wondering if anyone is doing any last minute bolt-ons or full builds before the track day on July 8th? I was hoping to do a SS o2 housing, ported manifold, and test pipe, but it looks like I'll just be doing the test pipe. The o2 housings are on back-order, and since the ported manifold won't make much difference without it, I'm not going to bother swapping it in.

I was going to finish up my project, and tune with c16, but that's been put on hold.

I broke all my stuff so I'm hopefully going with my buddie and his SRT-4. There's a small chanch I might have my car fixed though.

hopping to get the 50trim back and on the car sence the 61 is using about 2 quarts a week now. other wise I will be there to watch

I need to get some 1000cc injectors and two turbos fabbed up with dual 4" exhaust. Oh yea, and the car delivered here and the other one gone.

Last minute? HA my crank gets back from the machine shop wednesday.
We are trying to get 3 cars up and running afterhours (if this heat gives us a break) for the event.

Chris, I was tuned, but the old clutch gave out on the dyno, ending my tuning session. I've got great luck with dyno-tuning. I have the new one in, but even so, I'd only be tuned on pump. Race gas won't go in till I get off and install the whole fuel system I have sitting in my room, and a JMF intake mani put on.

So put a clutch in and run on pump gas. By the time your setup is "finalized and ready to go" oil will be long gone and your great great great great grandchild will be throwing moon rocks at your car wondering what the fuck it is.

I'm putting another 150 lbs into the car to get it to full street weight! I may decide to leave out the sub and spare though, just for fun.

Also replacing the rear brakes, rear swaybar, and getting an alignment.

My bike is getting the carbs synched and re-jetted and a new muffler.

Well I've finally done my breaks so I can stop when I get the the end of the track. And my sway bar links are in as well so I can not flip over and lose control while my rotors would have been busy sucking at life. I did a boost leak test and found 2 leaks. One was in a line and the other is my tb gasket. I replaced the line today and my fellow winoner friend gave me a tb gasket. I just baught a dsmlink cable that will work with my mac. So I can pull that battery, take out the tb, replace the gasket, and put everything back on and reload my tune. Then I'll probably still be unsatisfied and go get another tune with more boost. I am putting my motor back in today, then a lot of: fab, install, painting, tunning, etc. Back to work I suppose.

I was hoping to get my built motor put together, new intercooler, and gt30 put in and have it all broken in and ready to rock, but it's not looking like that'll happen now.

I'd run it for you, if you don't care for the tranny.

chris, I HATE tuning all the time. I'd rather throw the rest of the shit I have for the car in it, then tune, rather then tune, add, tune, add more, tune. Waste of time and money. It looks like unless I get the SMIM and piping done this year, the fuel system will wait too. I'll do those at the same time. Perhaps next summer I'll do the fuel, SMIM, and a shep tranny. THEN, race gas. I MIGHT go on the 8th, but only on a lousy pump gas tune.

It has a BM tranny going in it right now, along with a new clutch disc. But I think I'd rather have one of the guys I know a bit better on here do it, if I let anyone. Just to see what kind of times it's at right now.
