BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

2 Attachment(s)
I'm gunna open up my house to anyone and everyone who wants to enjoy some free bbq and some free beer. Same kinda thing I did a couple times last summer. I will supply Brats and Hamburgers, and I will either have some packs of beer, or a keg, depending on what the turnout seems like it will be. If there is going to be a ton of people, well I can only buy so much, and then I'll either have to ask for a couple bucks at the door, or just bring your own. The drinking doesn't stop until the cops tell us to stop... at least twice ;) . If we get sick of beer pong or flip cup drinking games, we can head over to Bee Bops/The Venue if we so wish. Bust fences down is at your own risk.

I think most of you know where I live, but for those of you who don't, here is a great map that I have made! Also a quick Google earth snap shot. I'm located in Blaine, one stop light away from John's Auto Parts if you know where that is.

So if you want to come, please post up as I need to gauge the amount of food and beer to buy. If you want something other then brat's or burgers, please bring your own meat. I will have some chips and what not, but if you have any little party snacks, you can bring that as well.

If this date is bad and we need to move it a week later or what not, just say so and we can maybe bump it to another time. But as of now, this seems like a decent weekend that other shit isn't happening from what I can tell.

Donations will be accepted, but are not expected at all. This is for free for anyone who's a part of this site, and their counterparts. But if you want to donate some pocket change to help offset the cost of everything, I can't say that we'll say no!!

Haha, that's up to the people who show up. You're welcome to bring friends, just make sure they don't put any holes in my walls.

Also after thinking about it, Friday the 29th may be a better day, but I can't edit the damn title.

Sounds good. What is better for everyone though? 29th or 30th? I'm starting to lean towards the 29th.

If someone starts with the "old enough to pee, old enough for me" shit then we know Tom's going to be in town.

Like I said, anyone and everyone. That includes 18 year olds or you underage friends. As for drinking, well the public eye can see this forum so I suppose we'll leave that question unanswered. ;)

It's my best friend Jake's b-day that weekend too for those of you who know him. So make sure to give him his spankings.

Re: BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

Matt D., There is a really good meat market right next to my house in that mall that Majors and Bella is in that has decent steaks. If some people wanna pitch in, then we can get steaks. I just can't be buying all that on my own. Maybe we can cook up some wings too.

Also if I get a keg, I was thinking about miller light. Anyone beg to differ? Also who hasn't played flip cup? That game is freaking awesome, and we'll for sure have to get some games of that goin.

I was thinking something along the lines of grilling some chicken, steak, peppers and onions for fajitas. Good summer time food. Other than the meat and vegetables we'd just need shredded cheese, sour cream and tortillas. I will gladly buy it all and let people donate to the cause.

Drunk people can not construct fajitas. :D lol

I only throw up if I've eaten before drinking excessively.

Re: BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

Well I dunno how to work that then with steaks and what not. I personally don't want to dish out a bunch of money for steaks for everyone, because I fell I'll be dishing out enough for a keg and some burgers/brats/chips. On the same note though, I don't want to have some sort of door fee either, because I feel with it being free, it'll help get more people to show up. You start saying there is a cover at the door, then people may not want to show up anymore. The best way I see to do it is that I'll provide burgers/brats, and a keg, free of charge. If the keg runs out, then well hopefully you brought some of your own shit in case of that because I can only provide so much beer. If you want steak, then bring your own and we'll gladly throw it up on the grill.

But if Matt wants to bring some steaks and wings, then so be it, I ain't stopping you. But I really don't want to have a door fee, and I think the best way to do that is to say that if you want anything more then I'm offering, then bring it yourself. There is a great meat market a block from my house, but it doesn't stay open that late. There is also a liquor store right next to the meat market, for anyone who wants to buy their own stuff incase the keg runs out.

Allan, didn't you have some kinda beer pong setup? If so, and you and Jana come, you should bring it!

AJ 06-12-2007 05:57 PM

Re: BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

Yeah, we have a beer pong setup and a table that would be better off than bringing your shit downstairs again. LOL.

I don't think we will be going, I'm pretty sure we will be heading to IA for the weekend.

I can get BB or LB the other shit though.

Halon 06-12-2007 06:17 PM

Re: BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

Sounds good. If IA doesn't work out, come on down!

Halon 06-13-2007 08:49 PM

Re: BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

Beth should be coming as well. Also hopefully my friends Rob and Sarah. So far looks to be a somewhat decent turnout. Looks like (besides the brown MEN) LSE is getting to cool for the old crew. It's all good though, the party don't stop til we drop!!!

Re: BBQ and Booze, 6/29, Blaine

Sounds like some of the MAP posse may show up if they have nothing else going on after hours. The MORE the MERRIER!!!
