1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
 

I have for sale 1992 GSX 6/3 project car, runs and drives 30,000 miles on JDM engine, manual trans shifts fine. Body is in decent shape besides alittle sunburn and a rust spot on rear quarter. Interior is complete and fairly clean.

The bad:
It needs new carrier bearings on the driveshaft, shakes when it lugs.

There is a boost creep problem which is eliminated when the stock exhaust is reinstalled. I would say it needs a higher flowing O2 housing or some porting to promote flow to the wastegate.

The good:

Car runs and drives, has a clean title and would make any DSM'er happy with a alittle TLC.

Mods:

Stock engine and trans replaced last year with a JDM engine/trans aprox. 30,000 miles.

Dejon Super Side Mount IC complete with dejon upper and lower IC piping.

Blow-thru MAFT setup w/ 3" GM MAFT

Greddy Type-S BOV

2.5" exhaust which I belive is from Buschur, will include stock set-up which is needed to stop creep.

Boost and A/F gauges on A-Pillar

MBC

ACT 2100lbs cluch w/ 6 puck race disk

Seems like a very good deal to me!

Boost creep is when boost level keeps climbing with the wastegate fully open. To cure this, you'll need to install a higher flowering o2 housing (tubular, ported 2G, or EVOIII), and if that doesn't cure it fully then some port work on the turbo exhaust housing wastegate passage.

Boost creep will only affect your ability to go WOT to redline in a safe manner. For daily-driving below full boost it'll be fine.

have stock exhaust to stop the boost creep.. it has 2 1/2 inch exhaust on it right now.

Why did you opt to put a JDM engine in it instead of american? If im not mistaken they are mostly identical for power

has anyone spoken to the ACTUAL seller of this car? This chris guy told me to call some justin kid about the car. Apparently it's his. I tried calling all week, left voice messages, no reply nothing. Dont think this car is for sale. Woulda been nice to get a staright answer and not a fucking run around.
