Well i'm fucked...i finally get a DSM!!
 

Yep the beetle is gone and I finally got my white 2g GSX.
I now know the addiction that everyone has here. I already have so many things I want to do to it and I have not even owned it for 24 hours. I want a 255 fuel pump, injectors, FMIC, boost controller, SAFC... And of course I want my one girl thing on it, a pink valve cover! (yes, I am sure that will make most of you cringe). I am not looking to be the fastest at all, I just want to have a little run with it and be able to beat the ricers and a few other people. I am going to try to have a semi comfortable semi reliable (I hope) DSM…

Yeah, I would like to put some gold or black wheels on it, preferably 6 spoke. But until I get some money for that if I just clean these ones up a little it will look even better.

Yeah I know, I saw yours at LSE...but sorry to say I wanted one before I knew you had one on the evo. Plus I am a girl, so I need my one girl thing on the car. I'll make sure it is not the same pink lol.

Looks nice! First off I would to the timing belt if it hasn't been done recently or if you don't know when it was done, then pop some new spark plugs in.

All the belts were done within the past 2,000 mi. One needs to be tightened a little i think, so I will maybe do that soon. I have not really looked at the spark plugs, so I will have to do that when I fix the belt if it keeps making a little noise.

Yeah it is really clean. Its a '99 and only has 80,000 mi (just hit it last night). There is no rust dents or anything. The bumper has a few paint chips in it, but nothing major at all. It has black leather interior which is still in great condition...

Is this an auto or 5-speed? Very clean ride!!! Are you saving for a 6-bolt yet? :D Can't wait to see it in person!

Of course it is a manual! It has a late ’99 7-bolt replaced in it, so in theory it should not have crank walk problems. However, I need to get some more of the car paid off then I will start saving more for a 6-bolt and some more mods. I just need it to last through the summer so I can save up and try to do almost everything at once.

I will be at the Tues night meet, so hopefully you can see it then.

Best advice I can give you: don't try to do 'everything' at once and do as much preventative maintenance as possible. Be nice to it & it'll be nice to you! :D

Yeah i guess you may be right...I dont think I am going to do much until fall tho. Just keep it running over the summer and fix the little things so its running in tip-top DSM condition hehe.

Well I can thank Matt for me not knowing lol. Well then you can answer a few questions for me lol. Was it the newer style throw-out bearing? How many miles were on it when you gave it to him? Did you have any issues with it?

1. I have no clue
2. came out at 80000 miles
3. No issues, Matt got it tested for crankwalk before he put it in and it was within spec. Engine ran GREAT, just took it out to do a 6bolt because I had money.

Nice car, should be reliable unless you do something to it. People don't seem to understand that these are old cars and things are gonna expire.
Happy to see that you got what you wanted, white is the color for '07 so good on ya for that.
I got a 16G for ya, also you are going to want to go bigger real quick, it just doesn't stop. I know my destination for my DSM we just have to see if i can stay there.

Nice clean 2g you got there. I second the pink valve cover. And yes some black with a polished lip rims look sweet on it. But have fun with the car.

Hey! I got that AFPR situation installed quite well..I'll show it to you on tues if I drive.

It also already has a 16g..evo III if I remember correctly. Brand-new, and it leaks a little bit from the oil feed.

Ooh really? Very nice! That was not mentioned in the original post! What clutch is in it? Now I'm starting to think a few mods will be giving that car a little bit of nasty under the hood, to match the driver!

Oh you will still be seeing it in the same spots in woodbury! I work at Spalon Montage so i am out there at least 3 - 6 times a week for that.

Yes there were a few things i did not mention in the origional post. It has an ACT 2600 clutch in it, G-Ready blow out valve, custom exhaust, boost controller, and a few other things. They are minor things but its enough in there that I just need to add a few more little things and I hope to make 250 or 300 on the dyno. That’s all I want to make, I don’t need any more than that (as of now).

Its cute and fun for me to drive now, but it still needs to be faster hehe.

I'd say 250 is a very doable number on pump gas and a few more mods, and you will have a pretty quick car on your hands!

KEEP IN MIND!! Matt got rid of those RICER headlights, and has some SEXAY black-housing ones in there. We will wash and vaccuum her this weekend before we go to a wedding on saturday.
