There I was at Sears, just wanted to grab a simple flare wrench for my SS brake line swap that I'm planning on doing this weekend. I knew I needed a 10mm flare wrench but I didn't think that buying one involved getting a fucking POLE UP MY ASS!!! Gahh!

Then I had the opportunity to stand right next to an open door at a check-out register for *honestly* 5 minutes until some lady that was leaving for the day passed me and asked if I had been helped. It could have been longer, but by the time she got there I was leaning on the counter, about to pass-out from boredom. I was so close to the door it was all I could do to not just walk out with the damn thing!

I only bought one, and everywhere I looked was out of the metric set :( This was the 5th store I had been to and finally bent over and grabbed my ankles.

At least you got a decent one. I went to checkers when I didnt know any better and bought one. It was a piece of shit and it flared out and striped the bolt :(.

Hey, they don't call me captain tool for nothing!?! Or was that captain cool....hrm, anyways I think it's ff'ing flare wrench season, everyone and their mom was out of the metric ones...I'm thinking of reporting this to Tools Unlimited and possibly backing their lobbying for a shorter metric season next year...this year the population was nearly wiped out!!!

I just had a crappy experience with Sears last weekend. I ordered a laser level online and it came with a free tripod. I get up there and they don't have the tripod, I tell them about the special deal and they can't find anything. Call the floor manager, nothing. Call the store manager, nothing. They stand around looking dumb for a while and call into online support. After talking to them for 20 minutes they finally figured it out. I spent 45 minutes waiting for my stupid tripod! The manager said "Sorry it took so long, but I couldn't just take your word for it". I said, "Yeah, like I had nothing better to do at 7:30 on a Sat. night!" Sears FTL!

KMart sells craftsman as well. I don't know how much they carry, but you could have checked there.

Actually Sears is owned by K Mart. But my point was that when all the Sears didn't have them in stock Kmart may have. I'm not really sure how extensive Kmarts tool selection is though.
