I was just going to post this up too. Crazy! It sounds like one of those engineering guys went nuts. You never can trust those engineers! I always try to keep my good eye on 'em.

I just heard 22 dead and 21 injured. That crazy bastard was going to kill over 40 people, all this for looking for his girlfriend. And she was found with a DSM'er, and the Dude lost it, must be a Honda owner. But on a serious note very tragic.

The world isn't coming to anything, this type of crap will always happen unfortunately because people have problems. Chemical imbalances, father beating them or not hugging them, etc.

I wish they would say how that shooter met his end. Hopefully it was a headshot from the police. And if they said his name, that would be a little justice because his family would come under the spotlight. Nothing like Media to make things worse.

I was amazed by the news, that is all. If you dont have anything positive to say then keep quiet. Pretty sure things are getting worse as time goes on if you havent noticed. Dont you have a tree to hug somewhere?

As for stuff getting worse I'm not sure if I agree with that. Bad stuff has always happened, but with how comprehensive the media is we are able to hear about every little sneeze that happens 1000 miles away. The world will always have bad things happening, always have, always will, you just need to focus on the good since that still far outweighs the bad. We are all alive and most of us are living good lives so be thankful for that.

The 2nd worse campus shooting was in 1966, so it happened even back then. Now we will probably start hearing about assault weapons bans again.

Now it is up to 33 dead and 28 injured, the gunman shot himself. They say he had two 9mm pistols and a bunch of clips on a black vest. It sounds like it was an asian male and it started out as a domestic dispute in the morning with the single death.

Yeah, it's bad but in the big picture, there have been worse events involving crazy people and guns. (btw, jet - why bad assault weapons when he used pistols? )

Anywho, i think this story says a lot about the stresses places on engineering students these days! If i was him i would have gone on a professor killing rampage instead.

I just had the news on, and I was only half paying attention, but I think they said 33 dead, and that it was the worst campus shooting in American history.

No shit, he really woulda fucked peoples shit up that way. I heard he went into a room, emptied both guns methodically shooting people. He then went out the door, reloaded, went back in and went at it again. Again he unloaded, went out, reloaded, and went back. Talk about a deranged motherfucker. And some people think gun control is bad? I am in no way opposed to banning all guns but imagine if he would have had a couple tec 9's or something.

If he would have used a Tech 9 alot of those people would still be alive as they are very prone to jamming. And what makes a Tech 9 so much worse than the pistols he used? It's just a 9mm pistol with a high capacity magazine. Hell I can get a 30round clip for a Glock or a 1911. I would be way more afraid of a pump action shotgun filled with 00 Buckshot than a pistol in this situation (it will land way more hits on a target per shot). I find it amazing how crazy people are becoming these days and how kids are becoming so much more violent. I am sure once they get some history on this kid they will attach some blame onto his parents or some other form of adolencent manipulation that ultimately made him unstable and eventually made him go crazy.

So did he kill his girlfriend for breaking up with him or cheating on him? Is that what started it all, I can't find any details as to a motive for doing all of that.

After watching a few videos/new stories about the shooting on the Fox News website, I can definitely say that solely reading news stories does give one the true idea of what happened. I encourage you all to watch some of the videos on the Fox News website or whatever media outlet you like. Hearing people talk about their first-hand account of the shootings about makes a fella shed a tear. I can't imagine the devastation something like this would cause in my backyard, Iowa State, let alone what people are going through at Virginia Tech.

Alot of the blame should rest on the gun dealer that sold him one of the pistols he used. Reading up on this I see they found a reciept for a glock 9mm on his dead body.

Considering he's an alien and not a U.S. citizen that sale should've never taken place as you do need to be a U.S. citizen to legally obtain a handgun.
