So I bought a an ECU from a guy in Iowa using paypal, and he never shipped it. So I filed a complaint with with paypal. The guy then ships me a CAS and a Car and Driver Magazine. Now I can't get my money back because he shipped me something. Fuck Paypal!

id drive down there. i bought an egt from a guy in FL. he still hasnt shipped it yet but i paid the extrx $5 for the buyer protection. i guess the buyer protection doesnt mean shit. there has to be something you can do. im sure paypal would have thought of people doing this and made a way to fix it.

paypal sucks ass... I sold a bunch of parts on ebay and these people say they didnt get them, but when you look @ thier feedback, they tell that to all the sellers they get. GRR. I shipped it via USPS FCM, so paypal ended up taking money from my bank account and refunding it.

Not to mention the horrendous fee's I pay for having a business account or the 300 dollar ebay account i have righ tnow fuck.

yeah i sold a bunch of parts and then people that payed at the end of auction didnt wait for a shiiping price, they just sent me the price of the auction, i said i was waiting for them to send payment for shipping and they all bitch and close my account, then someguy says i sent him something that wasnt as described, even tho it was exactly as pictured, then he contacts paypal. Then a week later he realiezes that i was the wrong seller and he had complained about the wrong seller, my accounts are closed suspended and half these people got there money back and have their parts. its only works if your honest

Andy, complain to your credit card company...PayPal is notorious for getting out of responsibility, but credit card companies will do whatever is needed. Ship that stuff back to the dude with delivery confirmation and just say he never refunded your money.

I didn't use a credit card to buy it. I just had the money taken out of my checking account.

You did leave him negative feedbac, right? He also breeched contract so you can use Ebay as well. He did not ship what he posted. Maybe he got you mixed up with someone else that bought something from him.

I bought $200 injectors off of dsmtrader using paypal and my cc. the guy never shipped me the product, he kept strining me along with false tracking numbers and all that shit.

I filed a complaint through paypal, they said he hand no money in his account so they couldn't get my money back.

Fast forward 5 months later, my credit card shows a credit of $176.00 from paypal with the guys username listed. Paypal never contacted me or said they were able to get most of the money, it just showed up on my credit card. Guess I'm lucky. :/

I think buying shit off of EBay and the DSMScammer from unknown people is the problem...

I always make sure they're on at least a few dsm boards or are known by a few others from their state by going to their local dsm groups.

What I would do if your ever going to buy things off ebay or trader is Collect on Delivery from UPS. That means that they ship the product to you through UPS, all they have to do is check a box on a form when they bring it to UPS. Then its mailed to you and you have to pay the UPS man when it comes to your door. If its not the right part then ship it right back to them without even paying for it. If its all good them you pay UPS and they pay him.

That is what Id do... I was going to try it with some guys on tuners but he said no and wanted a money order. Well thats too bad Im not getting scammed I told him.

Enlist the help of the NABR Mofia. I had a huge problem with Ken Bacon of Indy Race Cores. I called my flappy head buddy Marco(Magnus Motorsports) and he put pressure on Ken to fix his shit. I got 1 call form Ken saying the core would be there in 3 days. It never showed. Post your delima on NABR froums.......someone will hook him up.

This is what I had to do:
3 months later and no contact with Ken; I reported IRC for credit card fraud and got my money back.

Sorry. Thought you said ebay. I got screwed out of $140 for an SAFC from a guy in Washington state named Neil Fowlie. Little fucker took my money and ran. I filed with Paypal but they came up with nothing so far.

Yea that is a problem but thats why they leave a note on your door and you can go pick it up at a UPS store.... Not a big deal I guess... but maybe Im just more cautious than some of you.
