Re: Body Kits.

Everyone on this site including myself is going to tell you to keep it stock. If its a 95-96 convert it to 97-99 and call it a day.

Re: Body Kits.

Can I say stock??

If I had to choose, it would be lower right red one, because it looks closest to the 95/96 style.

Re: Body Kits.

I'm gonna go with everyone else, and say stock. Most body kits look like ass, and never fit very well. I put one on a '95 eclipse a couple months ago at my work, and there was about a 2" gap between the bumper and hood. It looked like total ass.

Re: Body Kits.

I had the wings west front on the spyder for a few year fit great but now back to stock. If I were to get a 2nd body kit for it the only one I would buy would be a veilside kit for the spyder

I guess I should be more specific in what I meant. Most of the kits you get on the internet will fit like ass, unless they're genuine Veilside, Wings West, or some other brand that actually has quality control. But in that case, you'll be dropping a nice chunk of change on them.

I like the factory 97-99 look but not gonna say much because I personally have the RDORA kit (bought it already on the car) on my black '99 spyder and love it. Its not to aggressive.

Why do you want to spend your money to make your car uglier?

The Reason I ask, is becuase Im tryin to figure out a way to make My eclipse differ from every other 2 gen, from an eyes veiw. Which is exactly what you said, just the stock 97-99 body style, yeah it looks good, for that fact it looks great!. But there has to be somthing I Can do to tweak it. It just, it all ends up looking the same.

HiImBrian 03-21-2007 01:27 AM

Re: Body Kits.

Yea you can deffinatly tweak the style and get a body kit. It will stand out a lot...Just not in a good way. If you want to look good go get a fresh paint job and some killer wheels to go with it.

It's easy to make a car stand out without adding a body kit(which virtually all look like shit to most members of this community). It just takes a little bit more thought, planning, and tact. Most people just dont have the creativity, talent, effort, etc it requires to do so. Things like a nice carbon fiber hood and front lip can go a long way with a tasteful set of wheels and the right drop.
If you want attention, then by all means get the body kit. If you want to stand out, the difference is in the details.

I think it looks nice and they do fit every time plus I have the mirror's,fender blinkers and tails that are on it already but the kit is too much money

Re: Body Kits.

I got ya, so im thinking about all the little things I can do. errrrrrr, maybe caabon fiba hood, caabon fiba front bumper splitters, caabon fiba front bumper lip, caabon fiba rims, caabon fiba back hatch, caabon fiba ereryting man.lol..

No i got what you guys are saying,
+body kits=big money spent, for the wrong kind of attention.
+Stock with minor tweaks and rims=looks Damn good, and anyone that knows a dsm will respect the style.
