Big thanks to everyone at LSE, Josh, John, Ryan, and Chris! They did a great job on getting this running with all the problems they ran in to. |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Care to share the rest of the setup?
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Built 2.0 Wiseco pistons Crower rods, SC61, HKS 280's, FIC 1600cc injectors, 3" TB, AEM, DnP Manifold, ect...
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
What kind of problems were you running into? Or is that top secret too?:)
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
The crank being shot and having to find another one. The turbo needing a rebuild. The manifold having to be re-welded.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Yeesh, good to see it is up and ready now.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Are you still on the stock manifold?
Those are pretty decent numbers for pump! |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Stock exhaust manifold no, DnP. Stock intake manifold yes.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Very nice curve!! Damn that thing must hit like a train! I need a ride. Droool.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
WOOT! Congrats my man! That's a pretty damn sweet setup, time to throw some alky at that bad boy?
Have you done anything with the head yet? You might want to check into revolver cams...a little spendy as they require upgraded springs but the rewards in torque are amazing! |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
He's already got cams yo! He just said that.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
He has the HKS 280's. I would say he just needs some break-in, and some race gas to get some serious times out of it ;).
I introduce a LSE stage 4 shortblock in Mr. Nash's evo. Thanks for the business Andy! |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Nice numbers!
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Gratz Andy! How does it feel with another 130 whp or so? I am getting the EVO bug, I need a ride!

I think I'm done modding the car. The only thing left to do is put on some break in miles get the meth injection hooked up, put some c16 in it and turn up the boost. Here's the dyno graph from the before the motor build. 29psi with methanol. |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Yeah, I would stick around there. I was pretty happy with my car in that area, now I am trying to make it more streetable. That is what I love about the EVO, it is more streetable at those HP levels than a DSM.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Why is an evo more streetable than a dsm at any power level? Same drivetrain, basically.

Comfortably seats four and comes with recaros! :)
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
We are not turning this thread into a DSM vs EVO thread.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Andy, what injectors were you running on your old setup? 660's? If so, what duty cycle were they at?
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
I had 680's in there and as for duty cycle I have no idea. You would have to ask Swanny that.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Awsome pump numbers Nash. Now turn up the boost.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Sweet. I shouldn't be looking at this because bad thoughts go through my head. :shakes head:
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Congrats, i def. wanna see this thing owning on the streets again.
Its sick to see an EVO with 4 people already in it, dip so low when boost hits that the muffler almost hits the ground. Can't wait to see what it does on meth & C16. |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Nice numbers Nash.
Now get another dsm. lol |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Screw that. If I could get some real money for my car, I'd sell it and get an EVO and probably never look back. I wouldn't mod it anywhere near what mine is, but I could put the kids in the back on weekdays and run high 11's on weekends, all with a big stereo and air conditioning. Anybody want a nice 1G for $15K?:D
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Nash is that a 60 Trim turbo you got? How big is it? Thanks man
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
It's a SC61, as in 61mm, T3. He says it on the first page.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Wow that is some nice numbers. I like to see what it does after the break in.
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
It is broken in.......
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Yeah broken into. Last night I get to work and sit down in the break room to have some food when a coworker comes and says "I hate to bring you bad news, but I just saw someone with thier head in your car and the passenger side window is broke". I run outside to see the alot of broken glass and no passenger side window. Someone most of followed me to work and wanted my radio. Luckly for me my coworked was stepping outside to have a smoke in time to see the guy take off running. Nothing was stolen but I now have two nice marks in my dash by the plastic around the radio and a broken window.

Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Man your luck sucks sometimes. Sorry to hear that, too bad you didn't catch that fucker in the act.

OMG that sucks! What a bunch of dicks. |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Fuck those faggots, it would have be real ugly and probably a lot more trouble if you would of found them.
Sorry to hear friend, you had a really nice deck. |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Goddamn idiots, I tell you. When my talon was broken into they must have used a crowbar to get the dash face off, when all it would have taken is a few screws with a screwdriver.
Uzbekistan Assholes! |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
MOTHER FUCKER!!! Why can't we get anything to just go the way it should with that damn evo? Sorry to hear man, I'm glad that the assfuck didn't get anything though. Cause I KNOW that deck isn't cheap...... Maybe time for an alarm? I have the viper 2 way pager one on my honda, and I honestly couldn't see me owning a car with anything worth stealing without one
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Sorry to hear that :(
|
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Nice Numbers!!! I'm jealous.
Sorry to hear about the break in. F'n losers. |
Re: 22psi, Pump Gas
Ahhh! That is not cool! Sorry to hear about the break in. Was the faceplate removed?
