the evo 3 swap parts are coming
most everyone know I picked up a 95 mirage for free a while ago.
any way parts are starting to come in so will have a good project for the winter. the rear end subframe will be here in 2-3 weeks the evo front clip in a week have the hood,fenders on the car already also have the recaro rear seat in it have the tails for it already. |

Were these parts hard to find or are they plentiful from over seas? Sounds like a cool project.

finding the oem parts are a pain in the ass. I found 2 places that make a factory looking body kit for the car. But I wanted the oem parts sence I dont want fiberglass panels on it if I can help it.
I will be taking a ton of pics and a how to to make it all work if anyone elce would ever want to try it later. Also I was surprised when I got the hood thinking it would be metal with the 2 heat vents and the air in take vent on it but it is a aulm it is a one handed hood. I think the hardest part to find will be the front recaros seats. |

that is the way I got it. It also only goes in reverse right now

the front clip is 2500 and compleat rear subframe 600 are the 2 biggest costs for the car. I am kepping track of it all
to make it rhd all you have to do is swap the fire wall form the clip to the car will work for any car out there that came rhd |

also just got suspention for it KYB New SR Special shocks,RSR Springs and Cusco camber plates. act 2100 from james (so the wife can drive it also) jun chrome molly flywheel and the matching front recaro's to the back seat. will put up pics as soon as they get here |

dsms are pretty damn heavy for a 4 cyl, I cant wait to hear how fast this lightweight bugger goes!

got the evo rims today
they are off a 02 lancer oz ed witch has he same rims but in silver on white so the will be getting powder coated. Also got the jun fly wheel will get pics of it when I get it back for getting steped The front clip will be here tue. They ran out of the wood crates for the front clips and had to make one sence it was going to be here last mon. Those are the same rims? They're so narrow on the Lancers, seems like they wouldn't fill out the fender flares on an old EVO.

I checked before I got them
J-hot had the oem evo rims 15*6 in white that 2 were curbed and they wanted 380 shipped w/o tires I got these for 250 w/the yokohamas here is a pic of a evo III |

Well, i'm not expert, but i thought they came with a SOHC 4G63... but i'm not sure. |

The Evo was the replacement for the VR-4 Galant. It is the same DOHC 4g63, but I believe that the compression ratio is 9:1.

Well I thought it came with a 6bolt but the flywheel he has is a 7 bolt.

all evos are 7bolts the cd9a and the ce9a are the evo's 1-3 years 93-96
4g63 dohc with the 510cc injectors,16g,9:1,and have a diffrent ecu and engine harness than dsm's have. |

front clip came today got it out of the truck in not the safest way but got it done. Got it in the shop on a lift and had it stripped in under 4hrs.

still watting on the rear subframe and drive shaft to show up
also have a call to the co. sence the clip was missing parts that I need most is the fuel rail and the 510's. I will be working on it all day sat. I will probley get the rhd swap and 5 speed swap all done and might spray the engine bay flat black if I have time. I will try to keep it stock for a while the only thing after market on it is the hks filter kit and ngk wires. |

Way more will power than me. If I were doing that, it would be a monster right out of the shop. You should do a write up on this man. How is it going to get insured?

It is going to be more of a everyday car so I want to keep it mostly stock in evo forum.
As for ins. it is still the orignal car like all the others I have swaped. It will still be a mirage s auto as far as they will know. |

Forget about getting a happy meal through the drive-thru if you're going RHD, unless you go through backwards.
