I need to see if there is any interest in the Preston Trout Days Car Show. AJ, Jana, Joe K, Ryan H, Joe H, Laura, and a few others came along last year, and it was a great time. This year, it SHOULD (but don't quote me) be the 2nd weekend in May... I need to know if there will be enough interest in having the "Import" and "Import Modified" class this year, or they won't have it. Jana is the defending BEST OF SHOW winner. Out of over 200 Big Block, Mullet infested, White bread, Pushrod, V8's, Jana won best of show. I just need to see if anyone is interested....

Hey sounds great we have relatives that live in the area. Post up the exact dates
and such should be a good time show all the domestics what import power is all about. :3gears: Lets try to get a good turn out and have some fun!! :toast:

It was like $10 bucks or something. Pretty cheap. And you can just bring your own cooler w/ beer and chairs. It's a fun time...just remember sunscreen for those who burn!!

When can you register your car for the show. Is that being done now?

lol, it's a small town car show. You register the day of the show. :D Makes things easy so if something comes up you don't have to worry about being out any money.

Usually $8 to register your car. Prizes are given away. We participate in a parade also. I will make arrangements for food and beer with my mother again, we can chill there during the day, car wash in town or at my house...

Which campground are we talking about here?? Sounds like a Party in the making...

In the Middle of a grassy feild beautiful drive down there to just cruise until the guy in the milk hauler starts being a bizznatch after Joey H. passed him and almost hit that crotch rocket that was probably going about 170.
well i recomend everyone that can goes its a great time, its in the middle of nowhere (where imports don't exsist) Rickey we are going to have to get together for some vinyl for my 3g if i still have it.

Would that be the 8th? If it's the weekend after that, I will definately not be there. The 15th is Headwaters. If it is the weekend before that and we're not checking roads, we might be there.

No idea of the date yet, hasn't been anounced, but when it does, I'm there. Don't worry about a thing this year, we'll all get to park where ever we want, just as last year. Plus we'll be the stars of the show. Tom will bring his "Ludacirs done by White People", and offend everyone, and Joe H and I will again hide beer in empty Gatorade bottles. And I'll probably fry my car again, and not show it if I even still have it. Fuck me. Anyhoo...

It's really laid back. I've seen get-togethers at University more organized. But it's fun as shit to see 300 mullets turn and look when Jana takes home the Grand Daddy of all trophies. The fucker stuck a good foot out of the sunroof... Yeah Buddy :bounce: :banana: :bounce:

MAY 15, 2004 PRESTON TROUT DAYS CAR SHOW

Plan on leaving the night before, and possibly staying the weekend. Leave Friday afternoon, arrive in Preston friday night. Drink Beer. Sleep... Nah Drink Beer. Wake up, shower, wash cars, drink beer, be in parade, listen to loud lewd music, drink beer, get sunburnt, drink, laugh at Mullets and Tom, beer, and then go home either that night or next day (Maybe party in Decorah?? :banana: )

I am with Jana, I am in if the car is done. I plan on having it running about a month before that, but you never know.

Well we all have a place to stay if you want for free, or if you're interested in camping, there's a HUGE camp ground about 50 feet from the fair grounds, and we'd have a great ol' time. I think it would just work better if we went down the night before. There is a car wash in town, or you can wash it in my parents drive way. Not too much for night life, but if we camp, that won't be a problem. If you're interested in camping, let me know... I'll book an area. It's dirt cheap...

12:45 p.m. St. Paul/MPLS, PORKY'S. Leaving at 12:45 on the nuts...

1:45 p.m. South Suburbs, MALL OF AMERICA, West Side (Nordstrom's) LEVEL 4

3:00 p.m. Cannon Falls, THE CANNON BALL/MC DONALD'S

4:15 p.m. Rochester, APACHE MALL, MARSHALL FIELDS LOT

5:00 p.m. Arrive In Preston (Lodging Details to follow soon)

This will give us more than enough daylight to clean and tweak cars the eve before, so that we aren't all doing it in the morning before the show.
