Re: BMW 335i
Definelty nice. It is pretty weird how BMW is going turbo, and Volvo is going NA on some of their cars.
The new v8 M3 will be bad ass!! |
Re: BMW 335i
Looks like an upscale GTO

Re: BMW 335i
Yea, my friend Jay is planning on selling his S4 for one. Viscious, do you work for BMW? When will the AWD ones be coming out?

The AWD platform is coming out for this car hopefully pretty soon. I'm sure the 5.3sec 0-60mph is limited by traction issues. |
Re: BMW 335i
How much boost is it running? The compression is pretty high, so probably not a lot.
|
Re: BMW 335i
Sweet. Think there's room for a big single turbo conversion on one of these? What are the factory turbochargers rated at?
|
Re: BMW 335i
I can't find the info, but if I remember correctly about 8psi.

Re: BMW 335i
Damn. :(
|
Re: BMW 335i
Yea thats the bad thing, beamers really hold their value, its amazing. That design is nuts though, thats alot of stuff crammed in there.
|
Re: BMW 335i
Worthless. Ugly. Underpowered of course. Over priced. Hey, neat...wait...

Re: BMW 335i
Viscious, got any pics of the engine bay?

Re: BMW 335i
BMW is ok, but way too overpriced. Not as much as mercedes, the most craptastic "per-dollar" car you can get.
At least it's turbo'd, but too bad they didn't reduce the engine size to something like 2.3 liters. |
Re: BMW 335i
Why is that too bad? This thing sounds bad ass! Needs a big-ass turbo under that hood though.
|
Re: BMW 335i
I guess he means "Too bad I can't afford one."
3.0L divided by 6 = .5L per cyl. (N54) 2.0L divided by 4 = .5L per cyl. (4g63) Bore/Stroke 81mm/90mm (N54) 85mm/88mm (4g63) Each cylinder is pretty closely matched. Imagine if we could add 2 more cylinders to our engines for a 50% power increase. You can bet Dinan or AC Schnizter will put together an upgrade kit to wake it up. |
Re: BMW 335i
Well shouldnt 2 more cylinders on our engines give us a 50% power increase??
|
Re: BMW 335i
I thought that was what I said.
|
Re: BMW 335i
Not a bad looking car...would it come in a manual ... AWD version that is. And what kinda gear box will it have? 6sp or 5sp?
|
Re: BMW 335i
Pretty sure it will come in a AWD versiona and I think its 6 speed.
Oh yea the aftermarket will get on this car and with a chip, exhaust and intake 400hp easy here we come. |
Re: BMW 335i
6-speed manual or 6-speed auto AWD
|
Re: BMW 335i
That's not a bad starting price. I just sold an '06 330i for a customer and she paid full sticker for it a year ago, $41,750 plus extended warranties and such. Six-speed car, pretty light on options. Plus it's nice to see the 3-series coupe again, the 6-series coupe is dope. I'll be putting one on my lot when they dip into the $3x,xxx range. :D
And the 4 year/50K mile maintenance program will pay for all those clutches you go through at the track. :D |

BMW goodwill will allow one (1) to be changed under warranty, the rest you turn into "kitty hair" at your own expense. :D |
