Anna finally insisted that I get something newer and more reliable than my GSX which, I have to say, has been one of the more reliable DSM's I've encountered in my time. I drove that thing every day to work, save for a few times when it sat waiting for attention from one of the local afficianatos. So, I looked at this sweet litte ride, and all I have to say is that ANNA MADE ME DO IT!!! I honestly think she likes the car more than me. She currently drives a 2002 Lancer ES and the EVO is so similar it's not even funny....+ AWD and 200hp!

So, I'm joining the growing number of members stepping into a more current 4G63, but staying true to my roots! Without further adoo, please welcome the newest ride to the DSMStyle family, my 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII:

20k miles, and it has the SSL package. The most interresting part of this car is the trunk; the original owner bought an enture extra trunk lid w/ no wing on it just to sport the stock-ish lancer (or evo RS) look! It came with the original trunk lid as well. Also, the car has 3M's new clear bra on it, to help protect against highway rock chips. Otherwise, the car is STOCK (gasp) !!!!

Nice find. Leather even, I've never seen that yet. And my favorite color to boot, I'm jealous. One of these days I'll wise up, sell the e-bomb and just get a nice family friendly EVO. Of course then I'd want 2800lbs and 1000whp.

Congrats, nice looking car.

I too joined the EVO crowd about 3 weeks ago. Bought the car with a spun rod bearing. Exactly 2 weeks after i rolled it into the the garage it had a fresh rbuilt 2.3L:D

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! This thing is a blast to drive and hopefully will surpass my 2G in performance quicklike! After a few basic performance mods, it definitly could use some lowering springs and some tint though...climbing into this thing feels like getting into a truck after driving my 2G!

Or working DSM's, but to drive it right first you gotta hit the brake twice, turn off the stereo, honk the horn 3 times, and then it'll start. Those kinda dsm's are everywhere! Even in my garage you may find one!

Great looking car, nice upgrade. Sad to see a clean DSM leave though, but for what replaced it, it's OK :)
