Nice!!!!

Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
I thought you wouldn't buy a car w/o seeing it first? IMO, buying a modded car off ebay is probably the worst that you can do. Just my .02; I did forum research before even considering my car(s) but that's just me.

Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
sweet, thats 10 miles from where i live. :) be prepared for warm!

I paid $2000 down, balance payable ONLY on approved test drive. I sure as hell ain't going to pay him the other $28k if it isn't striaght, but thats just me! I talked to the guy for an hour, he's a IT engineer, like I and a straight shooter. He assured me that this car is like NEW and 110% AOK! At the VERY worse case, if anything was wrong, I could just demod it, as is still under warranty for the next 6 months. Didn't you fly out state to buy yours? Wasn't yours modded as well? Yeah we all know forum research is very < not> reliable and just hear-say at best, So what's the difference? It really all shakes out when you actualy get to test drive the car anyway don't it? BTW, Thanks for the congrats.........;-P |
Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
Hey, congrats, nice rare spin on a common car. Should be lots of fun. Hope it all checks out and that you are happy with. Fuck everyone else's speculations your a grown up and as long as it checks out, Go have some fun!!
Congrats again, can't wait to see it in person. |

But anyways, good luck with your car. I've seen firsthand, Cobras that are modded then sold after those similar parts were put on and it made it make less power than stock. I've looked a lot into the cars and their owners when I was looking for one. |

BTW, ALL the stock gear IS included in case of a needed emegergency demod. Thanks again for caring so much, but I'm done arguing with you now, so please go rain on someone elses parade now k? |
Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
No, not "k", because I'm not arguing with you. Have fun with your Cobra. I'm sure it will look great with yellow and purple all over it also.

And thinking back, don't you have a powder coated valve cover and those cheap ass euro looking tail lights as well? Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder man, or are you another self appointed style Nazi hero? Nope the OEM custom Black and Red leather suits me just fine for the Cobra man? You know the more mud you throw, the more of it just ends up right back in your face. You know can accept and work withconstrutive criticsisum, but flat out rips will see the same from me in turn. Maybe we'll have to just settle this in a race sometime? |

*Devil's Advocate Suit On*
Before purchasing the car, did you call Mike at ADS to confirm what the seller said in his listing? Did you ask the seller why he chose to sell the car on eBay? Had he been trying to sell it locally but could not find a buyer? Or had he forgone selling it locally and gone straight to eBay? *Suit off* |

I just want to point this one out: Quote:
as long as the car runs and isn't crashed or dented and scratched, then have fun! on a side note: assuming 15% drivetrain loss, that 140 hp gain is about right on, but i think he's guessing too much on some of those mods, like the cold air intake and X-pipe. an x-pipe is for low end torque on poopy low compression engines. I should use one. |

howie, you do know that you dont have to reply after each post, let the refresh button relax a bit.
Looks pretty clean from the pics. Best of luck with it. But i would watch what you say about beating people in races with that, we all know what happens to Mustangs that shoot off their mouths on forums (reference: Tcstangs vs dsmstyle couple years ago) |
Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
Sweet car! I like the hard tops more.. But other it is still a bad ass car!
|
Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
Nice clean car!
I bought my old '97 GS-T thru ebay. I was living in Burnsville at the time and the seller was from San Francisco. I never went to look at the car at all beforehand. I only had about 20 pics. We exchanged several phone conversations prior to flying out there and I established a trust in his word. I flew myself & a buddy out there. Other than gas'n up and fast food stops, we drove it back to Minnesota in 34 hours nonstop. I don't think I could ever do that again. It's the excitement of getting something new & sharp looking that gave me the push to get home. Saw some beautiful country! My 2nd DSM ('99 GSX), I bought from eastern Indiana, without looking at it also(other than pics). I couldn't have gotten anymore lucky on that deal. One of the cleanest 2g's you'll ever find. |

Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
My son (2 years old) like’s the car, I explained to him that it was a Ford, but he didn’t care... O.K. I like it as well.
|
Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
Nice! I know several people who have bought nice cars off of ebay (supercharged vette etc..)and loved them. Good luck with it, it looks beautiful!
only question is if he didn't race it or drive it hard then why did he put race tires on it? other then that it looks great! Stuart |

This is what I was told, not 100% sure if it's true. Bottomline I have a full inspection WITH a leakdown test schedule before the actual sale. If everything checks out I'm then going to get 3M's PPF professionaly installed on the front end to protect it from rock chips for the 1600 mile trip back. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...gard-PPF/Home/ Again, Thanks for all of the the kind comments guys, I hope it all works out! |
Re: Lady in Red.......my new car!
Check this out Howie. A kid on MNSC is selling that 3M shit for cheap. I am not sure how much it is to have installed but you could probably buy this, put it on yourself, and save some money.
Like you said, it is for the ride home so who really cares if you dont get it on perfect. http://www.mnscc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=31861 |
