Clean at last
 

Well I spent about 8 hours cleaning this thing and managed to take one good picture before the sprinklers at my work covered it with water spots 18 hours later.

Looks damn hot, although IMO the front plate needs to go. Then again, it's more legal your way ;).

Bringing it out to the MNSC deal tomorrow? I already saw it dyno, might as well see it all prettied up eh?

I will probably tint and drop it in the fall or next year.
As for the front plate, there is a fairly large spot of rust on the paint from the bracket. If I can get rid of that without harming the paint I have no problem going plate-free.

Looking sweet!! I polished mine up yesterday also, hope it doesnt rain for a while :) I would go to the mnsc thing tommorow but I dont feel like racking up another 80 miles for just the show, plus hardly any dsmstylers will be there anyway.

Damn, it looked good.

I used to have the same problem with sprinklers at Entronix. You just smash the sprinkler heads by your spot. No more water spots!

Black cars suck. They are next to impossible to keep clean. I have been using this Dupont Teflon spray wax and it works great. If your car gets water spots or a dust on it you can just use a Car Duster and it looks like new again. I went three weeks without washing my car and it looked clean. If it rains though you are pretty much fucked.

Very nice. Though hard to keep clean, not much looks better than a well shined black car.

I hit it with Meguires quick detail and took some more pictures. Some of the water spots are still there, you just cant see them.

Looking damn good, CVD! Your car cleaned up really well. Nothing looks sexier than a perfectly clean and detailed black car. I spent some good time cleaning mine up the other day too. You, Peter, and I should get together sometime for a hot 3-way pic.

Yeah you inspired me to get the pink flames off my car... now I just need to get it repainted. Looks damn nice though.

Looks good Howie! At first I didn't think I'd be a huge fan of owning a convertible, but now I love it and the top comes down anytime its sunny and in the 50's+.

I agree, I love the wind but am wiser now and don't ride a bike anymore cause I can't stand helmets.

Converts are a great compromise!

Some people say, "we'll you can only drive them when it's nice", well cars at these levels/prices should only be driven when nice anyways!

I did a quick wax job, nothing special. Too many other things to worry about right now. CVD's makes me wish I got a black one though.

Oh the pics are coming out tonight. Im not sure about a 3-way Hughes, but Ill take pictures of our cars together anytime! ;)

Im starting to hate black as craig said... they are a bitch to keep clean, but they do shine when clean.
