grills, they allow for sure. beer, im not too sure about. i planned on going but got an appointment to get my car's electrical problems fixed that morning.

You can drink beer (legally) if you're of age but dont let them catch you in the pits. They dont like that, but anywhere else is fine.

Well the turbo is on and ready to roar. Ran into one small problem with the oil return line that will be taken care of tomorrow, so far it looks like I'm going to be there as planned.

I cant believe the turbo fit without any modifications to the radiator or any other major part on the car. I had to trim up the brace on the DNP exhaust manifold and that was it. Fits nice and snug, looks monsterous. I'm happy!

The car is AWD... Fully built motor and everything is supported. Its running good but having a little problem with the tune so I might not race tomorrow but I will still go to the track.

Also, the turbo is not a 42r. It is similar but not entirely the same. It has a smaller exhaust wheel and close to the same size compressor wheel in one of the models, yet it still uses the same compressor housing. It has a P-Trim exhaust wheel with a .68A/R turbine housing and a 72mm compressor wheel. I just am completely amazed that it fit so well. The turbo is so massive yet it clears everything.

I had to make 2 modifications, grind a little off the bracing on the DNP manifold and cut a little out of the cross member for the lower IC piping to attach to the turbo. Other than that it fits perfect. Oh and dent the water pipe slightly. Not very much at all. Spools good and pulls very hard. I'm impressed with it.

Good Gosh! that turbo is huge! Are you sure you have the right one. That looks like something off a catapiller earthmover. Probably start spooling at about 7000 rpms -eh? :D

What's with all the metal shavings? Hope none of that got in the inlet.

I was there for a few minutes but I took my g/f's car seeing mine was still having some problems. I just went there to drop off some parts and saw some runs then left cause I had other stuff to do. Didnt look that busy at all. Seemed like there were very few cars there, but I also didnt show up until 1pm.

I see 1lb of boost on that turbo at 5500rpms. Lag is over rated. The metal shavings were from me having to grind on the support bracket that is attached to the DNP manifold. No shavings went into the turbo. Its nice, I like it, just wish I could get this damn thing running right.

12.61 @ 108.9mph. Clutch is completely gone now... oh well. I will have a Tilton twin disc ordered.

Nothing wrong with 12.61, IMO- Anything in the 12's is a respectable time. I'd rather have a reliable 12 second car(which I do), than a 10 sec. car that's on jack stands most of the time.

How much boost were you running Cher? The trap and ET seems low for your mods. Ryans EVO ran 12.6@110 with less mods than yours has (cams/AEM). Or was the clutch holding you back from really launching the fuck out of it?

Who knows what was going on. I was expecting a better MPH too. I was running 20-21 psi on 92 octane. The clutch is just completely toast as when it sees 1 psi of boost, it slips like mad. :-S

I would guess with your mods and a good tune it should be trapping at about 113 or so. Its probably running a bit rich or you have the knock table setup pretty aggressive. Either way a 12 is a 12.

Were there many dsms there? A friend of mine went in his red 98 gsx and ran 13 flat. He said he didn't see many dsms there. He said he might have been the only t/e/l there. Either that or he wasn't really paying attention.

I didn't see 1 turbo dsm run all day. There were 4 or so non turbo's running around.

That's the way it always is. 8 DSM people saying they're going/racing and like 2 show up. That's why it does no good to get a poll days before.
