Hello everyone. I'm excited to find a new place to meet with DSM'ers. I've become close with some of the ones in my area. We're all waiting for the new season to roll around and show off some of our new Goodies.. I've been a dsm'er for awhile and have owned 3. 93 Talon SOHC, 96 tsi awd and my current 97 tsi awd. As for personal introduction i'm from R.I. i'm 23 have gone a few different places and driven a few odds and ends. I hope i can be helpful and make a few more dsm friends here. Thanks.. Yah that hood threw me off. I was confused at first because I was just scrolling thru and didn't notice the car and I was like what the fuck was that car? Then I looked closer and was like, huh...

Anyways, I like it. Deffinately jealous, considering '97 TSi's are a weakness I have... But anyways, Welcome!

Thanks For the Compliments.. The Hood is my favorite thing i've done to the car so far.. after the suspension and the car sat lower it just made me like it more.. I've got it bad. I'm into the style aspects of being a tuner but i need the power too.. I need to go fast and look good doing it.. I enjoy the fact that the 97 talon is different as OEM gets.. I feel i keep my loyalty to the car but get the best style. Thanks Again!

Welcome! I like the car, hood looks good as well, i think its the first ive seen like that, may have to steal the idea in the future :)

First glance for me it looked like a TA. I like it. It definitely makes your car unique and stand out. :D

One other dsm in my area has the same hood.. It's a red 2ga but he painted from the inside head light to the corner windshield red on the hood.. Looks good as well. I'll dig up a pick and post it if i can find it..

I never really thought gto.. I guess because the car does look amazingly fat in the front.. I wasn't going for the gto tho, that's an evo style hood. The Goat doesn't have any vents in the top of the hood. But i can see it now with the general roundness of the hood. in person it looks crazy mean..

That's a nice Talon! I like the hood...different, but nice! And that front bumper looks real nice too.

I enjoy them alot.. All around the only draw back right now is i have to exit the car and dial in the suspensions dampening anytime i want a change. I did need to soften it up to ride on the road and stiffen a little when i want to play.. My friend put them in his sti and has the EDFC controll box and can adjust from inside. I'll get that sooner or later.. Grip is substantial and i haven't really tried to break the traction in a parking lot yet.. But on the on and off ramps i've been pretty generous on the speed 60-65.. i did more sliding out of my seat than the car did. Never felt like it was gonna break on the long swing. Adjustable height as well so i found the stance and look i liked from front to rear.. Later everyone -Rich

Yea, i was looking at alot of seats.. Definatley looking into getting something adjustable.. I've sat in a few cars with the stiff backed racing seats.. I'm a big guy and yea my ass wasn't to comfortable but it was my shoulders that were really the most uncomfortable.. Their are alot of Ebay choices but i've been in pepboys and felt how hard un-padded and toy like some seats are. You can't really tell by the pictures on ebay what your gettting. It will be awhile for seats.. Looking to get my performance all set before anymore style options.. Unless i find a pair that i can't pass up.

Nice ride, I am however not a fan of the hood its too much for me. But however, I do agree that the 97 front bumper on the talons look amazing.

Before I bought my 1g I was looking at a 1995 2.4l stroker with a 97 front bumper and polished fmic, the car was custom painted desert grey / brown and had matching 17 inch rims that had a chrome lip with the five spoke rims painted the same color as the car... it looked so mean.
