Halon 01-08-2004 06:20 PM

i do that a lot, hope i didn't ruin your evening

MATCHBX 01-08-2004 06:42 PM

Welcome Brent!!! I still have the autographed pic of your car posted beside my toolbox at work. From time to time people still ask me how fast your car is. They just can't believe that a 4-banger could make that much power and go that fast.

Hope to see more great things from you this year. Anything new you can clue us in on or do we just have to wait and see?

I second that. :jammin:

JET 01-08-2004 08:54 PM

Welcome Brent! You need to hook us up with some of that classified info! What do you have planned?

Brent Rau 01-08-2004 09:19 PM

My plans for next year: Bigger turbo 81 mm Y2k, bigger tires 33 tallx17 wide, bigger wing, longer stronger wheelie bars, and more power. Hoping to make 1050 at the wheels. That should allow me to run 7.50s consistantlly. We are looking at a 15 race schedule. All of the NOPI events and some NHRA.

Oh yea, did I mention the NOS!!

AJ 01-08-2004 09:21 PM

Shootout? We didn't get to see you run last year if I remember correctly. Again, Good Luck this season!

Brent Rau 01-08-2004 09:25 PM

Maybe the shootout. The track conditions at norwalk suck. You need to have alot of rear drive race cars putting down rubber for good conditions. The shootout weekend always has the track in bad shape.

AJ 01-08-2004 09:28 PM

I never thought about it being a whole new ball game for your set up. Even with people like Curt Brown being able to lay down 1.2 60's ni a AWD I suppose when you really get into the traction needed for the HP on your RWD setup, it's a whole new game.

In anycase hope to see you in actions at some point. I think the IA tracks would shit if they had a 7 sec import roll in for a day. ;-)

Brent Rau 01-08-2004 09:34 PM

We have been talking about doing some testing at TRi State this spring. We are leaving for Florida in a few weeks to test so you can come if you want.HAHA

1ViciousGSX 01-08-2004 09:58 PM

A BIG WELCOME
I've been following your car for a while now, it's just amazing. :dsmrule:
Keep up the good work. I'm kinda partial to the white 2G's. ;)

You'll love Tri State! With enough warning there would be a huge turnout down there as well.

Emcee gsxtc 01-09-2004 02:52 AM

Huge Giant Welcome! You, your team, your car are great. Kid comes up to me says "Your imports suck, my vette will blow any import off the line." I grab my copy of Modified and Im like beat a 950whp that runs 7s then talk. Thanks for the inspiration and if ya ever have parts to get rid of i will be right here. Good luck this season.

niterydr 01-09-2004 11:00 AM

welcome.
As much as I like your outlaw class car and the power it makes, I liked the old car/setup. I remember seeing a 'shake down' run at rock a few years ago, something about awd cars sliding sideways just makes me :bounce:

Nash 01-09-2004 11:18 AM

Welcome to the site!

JiN 01-09-2004 01:09 PM

Big time Welcome. It's really cool to have you on the site. I too was just bragging to everyone about your car from the Modified mag. issue. But again welcome, and good luck this season.

ArcticND 01-09-2004 06:02 PM

Welcome, if you've got a 2g awd manual tranny sitting around I'd be willing to buy it off you

Brent Rau 01-09-2004 09:53 PM

Yes my car is the work of one person. I build the motors, do the chassis work drive the car, drive the semi to the track, and own the team. I work alone. My wife and I are the only two on the team. I almost forgot. I don't do any of the tuning. Goerge Ioannou, driver and tuner of the Bullish racing/Street glow solara, does all my tuning.
