Level Nightclub, March 17th

I'm arranging a large group event for Friday, March 17th for a bunch of us to head to the newest club in Minneapolis, LEVEL! If you want to come (21+), get your name to me so I can put you on the list. Being on the list gets you free cover and no-wait at the door! We need to arrive by 10:30pm for this to happen though! I'm also looking into getting us bottle service and a private waitress, let me know what you guys/girls think.

Here is the official list:

Chris Hughes (S2kracka)
Craig Nelson (TheBlizzard)
Erik Peterson
Peter Ferski (M///Guy)
Allan Dahlan (DSMStyle)
Jana Knutson (WineConnoisseur)
Jill Beeson
Jon Wiles
Steve Olson
Alisha Zimmerman
Tom Ferlak (tpunx)
Andy Nash (Nash)
Justin Thompson (JET)
Cassie Crawford
Mark Pankratz (Mark)
Zac Carlson
Reid Geisler (GreyWulf)

Does the bottle service/private waitress cost extra? Or is it something you just request?

Its a minimum 1 bottle per 4 people so each person would be looking at $35-50 plus tip. I'm not sure what they charge per drink.

How soon do you need to have the listed finalized? Reason I ask is because since I'm on spring break, I may road trip up and join ya'll.

The sooner the better, early next week at the latest probably. You should make the trek!

So for those of us who don't drink, or don't drink much that would be a big waste. :(

Yup pretty much. If thats the case, we might just be better off buying single drinks on our own.

They charge 160 for a bottle of Cap Morgan!

http://www.levelmpls.com/Level Website/Bottle Service.html

I'm sorry, but there prices look ridiculous.

As long as we don't have to participate in the bottle service, count me (Andrew Hanson) and my girlfriend to be there awhile next friday. Will be good to meet more people from the forum.

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Alright, we'll skip the bottle service since people are not fond of the idea. If anyone is interested in it just let me know; some of us can do it while others don't. Supposedly their single drinks prices are pretty reasonable and lower than most other area places. As far as the area clubs go, $160 is pretty cheap for a bottle of Morgan. When you start totaling up how much you spend on single drinks the bottle service is the way to go since it includes all the mix you want and a private server (less tipping than single drinks since they get a cut of the bottle price).

Ashanson, i need your girl's name too.

This is going to be fun. I might get a few rooms downtown that night so I don't have to drive as well.

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Jana and I where thinking about that as well, but no place has hot tub rooms downtown and it was about $150 a night. I'll drink less and drive home for much much less.

I'm going home with a hot waitress....well thats the plan anyways ;)

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

There is a chance a couple people could crash at my place if necessary, I live on 13th and Marquette, definitely within walking distance. Free parking for guests on the first floor as well. However, my living room floor won't hold a big group or anything.

Just a thought...

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Some interesting info:

I got a group of friends going to Level tonight, emailed the guest list, and I immediately got a reply from them saying the guest list service was no longer in use because it got so popular. Instead they moved to a password system.

So all you will have to do is email them that day saying you have a group, they send you the password for the night, then you could post the password for everyone to use.

That will be the best way. A few of us are going to meet up ahead of time for happy hour if anybody wanted to join us as well. I am open to suggestions, Chris suggested Applebees.

Its in block E right next to Escape Ultralounge, but if happy hour is really early then it would be a long time sitting there till 10? I assume happy hour is like 4-6 but Im not sure? Im down for whatever but we just have to find stuff to do until we either go to Level or go someplace before that.

The annex has free drinks but 5 dollar cover from 9:30 -10:30 also.. in case we have nothing to do.

Kracka 03-12-2006 02:33 PM

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Applebees happy-hour doesn't start until 9pm. That will give us just enough time for a few beers and some appetizers.

Oh ok that works, nm my other post then ;)

Should we all plan to meet somewhere before Applebees or use that as the meeting spot?

Info for the Applebees:
BLOCK E
600 Hennepin Ave Ste 200
Minneapolis, MN 55403
Phone: 612.332.5255

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Just so people know, it is $3 drinks until 10:30pm so lets plan to arrive by 10pm at the latest. Since its St. Patty's day they are having a few other specials running all night such as $4 bottles of Guinness, $4 Jameson (good Irish whiskey) you-call-its, and $4 green apple martinis. In order to get free cover and no wait in line, you HAVE to email guestlist@levelmpls.com earlier on Friday (has to be on Friday), let them know you are coming, and they'll reply back ASAP with a guestlist password to use. I am not sure if everyone gets the same word or if they differ so play it safe and send the email.

Fuck getting there at 10pm, lets get there by 9pm at the latest.

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

This secrect club password shit if fucking gay. I'd rather get their earlier, not wait in line and pay a cover and have some room to move around while getting a couplr drinks opposed to sneaking in like 007 half hour till specials end and fight for a spot to get a drink.

I talked to our Neighbor who was there for the opening night and I guess there is very mixed (on the side of poor) reviews of this place.

I hate to back out, but I think I'm going to pass on this one. I might just stop by Town Hall for a frosty pint, eh [/Irish_accent]. :D I'm not really a drink specials kind of guy, sorry.

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

I think the password for free cover works the whole night. So we could go earlier if need be. I want to be there by 9pm at the latest. Otherwise AJ is right, if its packed and we don't have an area for all of us it will be fucking stupid.

If we all get there early we can take up a whole fucking corner of the club and my guess is that most people won't dance so we will never lose the area.

Kracka 03-15-2006 10:15 AM

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Getting there at 9pm sounds fine for me, scratch the Applebees idea then. In the email subject put "Guest List" and in the body just your name and date will suffice. Takes about 10 secs to do, even if it saves 3 minutes of wait time in line its worth it. Allan, if you truely insist on being a reble and not emailing for the password, you can still get free cover by wearing green.

TheBlizzard 03-15-2006 10:23 AM

Re: Level Nightclub, March 17th

Green....hmmmm. St. Patricks Day. I might have to go and get a pimp outfit to wear. Dress up as a fucking Leprechaun AJ so you will get free cover.

We could always meet up somewhere around 8 or 8:30pm. Then head over.
