Woot! The trip out here rocked.
Our airport security sucks. I was walking around the terminal and reached inside my coat pocket, guess what I found? A FUCKING METAL RAZOR BLADE! Airport security for the win ;)
We layed over in South Carolina. Why in the fuck would you lay over in South Carolina when you are flying from Minnesota to Connecticut. Plus our plane was super super tiny, shoulder to shoulder flight.
We arrived and decided to upgrade to 1st class. That was cool, and the rum and cokes were good (Bacardi).
The pilot locked up the wheels and the plan pitched a bit on landing, that was kinda cool.
Find our hotel, no problems there, decide to find this godforsaken shop we need to go to. It's close, only 1/2 hour away.
Oh these roads out here suck as well.
-The signs are all worn away, you can barely read shit.
-You can't turn off a damm highway. You missed the exit? Sucks to be you, go to the next town. So we finally find this shop, I hope its nice inside, because it sure isn't outside.
The icing on the cake. Its 2am, we are fucking hungry, there is a McDonald's next to the hotel, sweet right? What would you want more than a cheeseburger.
Well they don't serve any items under $3. So I try to order 3 cheeseburgers, nope, only the "big sandwiches"
So now I am sitting here on a wireless connection in the hotel, eating my 10 piece nuggets.
Atleast its 50 degrees (suckers!), and I am on "vacation".

If a person from Minnesota tells you the roads suck, trust them. I used to spend most of my driving time trying to get turned around because I wanted to go East, exited to the East and ended up going West. My road sign reading skills have improved dramatically.

Well the class is nice.
They don't have a 2 cheeseburger meal here.
Tonight is rainy and shitty out. Its warm enough to not need a coat. We rented a v6 mustang, with the traction control off its kinda fun.
But its an auto, so its only kinda fun.
Tommorrow should be very informative as well, but honestly I can't wait to get home.

EFI 101 is cool. Not a lot to do after class, so I will read over the notes, and find ear plugs for the NA 3.3lt Subi on Dynopacks tomorrow.

Murtle Beach is 2hrs from my folks, and columbia is only 30 minutes.

The subi made 206hp, 212 tq with the owner of the car/shop employee tuning it.
The tuner that trained us made: 213hp, 228 tq with 5 degrees less timing (average)
OWNED!
Im not sure which airport we layed over in South Carolina.

It wasn't the owner of the shop, just an employee that I thought owned that car.

Yes Im from CT and yes it sucks!!! Our roads are so shytty! And to believe they are ALWAYS fixing them also.. Blows my mind.

Where in Connecticut were you staying? When are you coming back? Maybe if you come back when we have our club meet I can drag you along haha

We'll be back late 25th, and stay till the 27th (flying out in the morning). We were staying at a days in just outside of BDL.

Our next meet for ccdsm is the 25th. What time are you getting in? If you can't make the meet at least come out for a few drinks afterwards. I'm always up for meeting new people. Expecially those who are into dsms.

Something to do? Yeah we'll be down. The flight we booked is a northwest flight 184, arrival time of 10:14pm.
Just in time to pick-up our rental car, find our hotel, and find some drinks :).

Nice meeting you guys Josh and John!!! I hope this trip out to CT didn't suck as much as last time.

A bunch of you guys should organize a little field trip on over to CT when the summer comes around. Then I can really show you how packed the pike gets with cars.

Also Keep me informed about that car show thing in august, if it's the week before or after the shootout I might be able to make it since I'm already half way there :)

Yeah, we go on a "traffic jam field trip" every year. Its called driving through Chicago on the way to the DSM Shootout.

That was a lot better then last time. We ended up going to Foxswoods sunday night and playing $1-$2 anti, No Limit hold'em, which rocks. I would like to run the DSM shootout this year, it would be fun.
