A little info;
supercharged (not turboed) and twin intercooled layout 617 hp @ 6500rpm 575 ft/lb @ 3250-5000rpm 5-speed auto (standard trans not available) Carbon Fiber body Carbon/Ceramic composite brakes Tuned deflectors under vehicle and/or full flat carbon fiber bottom panels Exhaust really does exit behind the front tires. Any work being performed on the engine (including replacing sparkplugs) requires engine removal from the bottom of the car. We had to have a special rack installed just for that car. The lift arms on the rack bolt to the chassis prior to lifting the car. $468,000 price tag It was developed from a proto-type as shown in the last pic. :D |
Re: M-b Slr

Re: M-b Slr
Those wheels are fugly IMO. Get some SL65 rims or something and its a winner.
Was the owner in any one of those pics? or was this a dealership delivery that is going in the showroom? |

Re: M-b Slr
Hahaha....if someone could afford that kind of car, they wouldn't want to be seen on the side of the road trying to put on a spare tire. Although, that would be pretty damn funny...especially if they knew how. :) Plus, they'd probably get help like right away just because people wanna see the car.

You would think that the M-B engineers could figure out a set of wheels that was functional and didn't look like a fan blade. Look at any other super high speed exotic. Enzo, nice looking wheels. Carerra GT, nice looking wheels. McLaren F1, decent looking wheels. All cars that are in the same league as the McLaren SLR, and they have normal looking wheels, what gives? |
Re: M-b Slr
haha how awesome is that.....gotta drop the engine out the bottom just to change the spark plugs... I bet that's auite a pricey procedure

Re: M-b Slr
That is definitely a bad ass car. Why not an enclosed car trailer? It seems to me that some jealous fuck could have his way with it out in the open like that.
