No longer at White Bear Mitsubishi

As many of you know, on Monday September 22nd, I was in a car accident that nearly ended my life. I was driving in a dealerships car at the time. As a result, I am no longer working for White Bear Mitsubishi. I would like to take a moment to thank my friend/former managers Richard Ross Herod III and Stuart Berkovitz for the opportunity to work at White Bear Mitsubishi for the last 3 years. That job gave me the opportunity to meet many of you!

I will not be leaving the Mitsu community (I just traded my 2012 Evo for a 2014). But, I will obviously not be taking on the same role that I have been.

Effective Monday, October 13th, I will be working for Suburban Chevrolet - Eden Prairie, MN. So, if you're in the market for a car, you now know where to find me.

Facebook won't be the same without you bashing GM products at every opportunity you get :p

Maybe he will continue to bash, perhaps under a pseudonym? :)

Sad day bobby but honestly I'm glad you're alive. You have led a huge role in this community as a whole and for Mitsubishi--I honestly think that it is a horrible mistake for you and them to part ways.

Good luck to you and all of your future endeavors!

PS $5 on bobby trading in his 2014 EvoX on a Chevy SS within 2 years? Dibs! :)

Sorry to hear that Bobby, but at least you came out of the accident ok and you were able to find something else quickly. Best of luck!

Funny, suburban chev is where I bought my very first dsm. I actually found the window sticker for it yesterday in the back of my tool box.

Can you now get me a good trade in on the evo for a vette bobby? If so this spring we might have to talk. I am a fan of easy, would be nice to knock it all out at one place if I ever break down and sell.

When they come down to about half of MSRP and they're on their third factory replacement engine, I'll pick one up. :D

Ha, nah. I am loving having just a kizashi payment. If they evo breaks I just let it sit now and don't care.

I would love a c7 but I tend to mod shit like everyone else and I have realized it makes more sense modding a car that has been out a while.

Re: No longer at White Bear Mitsubishi

A lesson I should have listened to from the start, don't mod DD's or cars that have loans on them, lol.

It's tough to do this but its the right way to do it. In retrospect taking mod money and paying the car off faster is a far better plan :)

A toy should not have a loan if possible.

JET 10-14-2014 11:54 AM

Re: No longer at White Bear Mitsubishi

Just have to watch how much you mod it. The more you mod it, the less reliable it gets. My car is still great, but if I go too much more I am going to start getting in to that risk area. Most turbo cars it seems to be 50% power over stock and the reliability starts heading downhill.

Same deal applies. I may not work for Mitsu any more, but if someone needs a DD, beater, family car, or wants to get in to a domestic, I'll still give the site $100 per member who buys a car from me.

If you mean Colorado, yeah we have one on the lot ATM. I think it was one of the first in the state. The Canyon is the GMC version.

I sure hope that last generation got better, because the first 2 generations sucked! I won't be touching Dodge for a while, if ever again.

That I did! The Z3 was a parts bin car, so I gave it a little slack. Not so with the Durango, it is just a POS.

As are most things Dodge/Chysler builds now-a-days. I'd take a 90k+mile Tahoe for that money over a Durango any day.

Is that the chevy version of the canyon"?

^Not sure if you're fucking around but Chevy Colorado = GMC Canyon

^ Lol. I definitely would get a sierra/silverado over a colorado/canyon. Parts are everywhere and they aren't to bad to work on.

Eventually I'm looking at trading in the Envoy. Looking at

2014 Durango Rallye (would hope to find a low mile used)

2012.. Tahoe/Yukon Hybrid. Do you know what year they started supporting Bluetooth syncing with phone, not just talk but also streaming music?

2015 Tahoe/Yukon, they are piiimp, but maybe too rich for my blood. Would be sweet to find a used one which is amazing how many used 2015's with 10k miles on em you can find on Cars.com

Ditch that Envoy as soon as possible! Front differential is a pain is the ass to replace. The actuators goes out on them a lot. And the transfer case fluid likes to evaporate causing heat on those clutch packs.
