Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
"He also recommended running speed density with a AEM 5 bar. My GM MAF is all over the place."
I believe im having the same problem with my gm maf... Your tunimg with dsmlink right? Was your mafraw readings just rediculously high? And have you looked into going speed density? Cost wise? |
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Shane was telling me that GM mafs on higher HP cars is hard to tune.. And yes it was a little crazy. Cost wise I haven't dug too much into it yet. That can be for next year or at least after proving grounds.

Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread

|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
I think I'll need a driver mod... I have a problem with my 1,2 shifting..
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
So do you know what does it take for me to go to speed density aem 5 bar map sensor? Im running v2 dsmlink and my maf readings are just rediculous!
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
V3 upgrade, plus the 5 bar and IAT sensor wired into the ECU should be it.

Yes just down the road from there.

Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Got the axle in and changed the oil. Also, I ordered my cdi ignition box from map and should be in on Monday
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Went and picked up my dyna tec cdi today from map but did not install.. Went to the gas station to fill her up and she runs great with the fresh gas but the rear end still clunks even after replacing the 2 rear axles with hd ones..... I guess it could be the rear diff itself..
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Does it clunk when shifting? If so, it's probably the rear diff bushings. Evo's do the same crap. Doing new rear diff bushings and driveshaft bushings cures it most the time.
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
No, its only when I'm making a sharper turn.
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Does it clunk driving strait, turning, or both?
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Turning
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Do you have a welded center diff?
|

Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Are you sure that isn't the noise you are hearing?
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
That is def from having a welded center diff. Happens to all with a welded diff if you are turning in tighter areas.
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
So I installed a dynatek arc2 and am still having break up problems.. I was at 27psi and turned it down to 25psi and it wasn't as bad. But then I turned it down to 22psi and she goes pretty damn smooth through the gears.. I think I'm in need of a retune..
Note: I also fixed some boost leaks but there isn't any difference from before or after since they were before the maf |
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
What are your plugs gapped at?
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread

|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
what plugs?
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Ngk bpr8es
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
If they're more than a couple months old, I'd try new plugs first.
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
Why are you running those plugs may i ask?
Switch to BR7ES and see if that changes. If you are on E85 those may be too cold. |
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
The plugs are brand new just installed. Brad ran them in his 2g so I through them in last year and hadno problems..
|
Re: GsXtUrBo98's 2G project thread
hmm, i guess I'd try the BR7ES and see if they help any, cheap enough to try.
