Still needs to finish welding and add the 2 wg's and dumps, but That's it soo far. I hope it all clears everything I need it to clear, and still allows room for everything else!

I was afraid of this, mutiny appears to be the only viable solution since our leader has become hostile.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Ya, I know you are.

Rad is the same as It was before. I tried to have him make this manifold to clear my upper rad hose, since it's the hard fittings, so I hope it works out.

I think the comp cover is not close enough to the valve cover. I dont think its gonna clear the rad...

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

looks like if he woulda went closer itd hit the runner tho unless he could go up a little bit higher if the hood would be ok with it

All the 1g's I've seen with the top mount like this have the turbo like 1/4 of a inch away from the valve cover. It will be interesting to see if its going to clear the radiator. Thats also why they have the turbo in there slightly angled.

Manifold looks good.

As for the mafia, I'm by far the worst member, my car isn't even home yet lol.

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

I asked just to make sure. He mocked it up on his brother's black 1g, and it will clear. He checked to make sure it clears the hood too, since it slopes down up front. I guess I really shouldn't need to ask, as the man is a genious with this, and other things I've seen of his. His attention to detail is quite amazing. He's currently eating Chinese, and racking his brain on where to place the WG's..

Um I have seen a very similar manifold in person.

How close to equal length will this manifold be?

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

True, very similar, as there isn't too many different ways a manifold could be made. I am not discrediting other people's work, just that he's really accomodating (as you have been) to what I have asked him to do.

Oil cooler is mounted up finally. Well, for the most part. Gotta mount mount it for real once I get it all together. Gotta get my fmic from steve tomorrow, then I'll have some pipes to sell, since I can't use it. I need to order some shit from MAP, and yea..slow but surely, car will run soon enough..

That manifold looks good! Looks like its going to work well for you! What stuff do you need to order from map?

I need flanges and vband clamps for the exhaust, and the lower ic pipe, I still need gaskets too.

Sounds like you need more than just a few small parts: http://www.mnsportcompacts.net/forum...ad.php?t=95151

Yeah! You can thank me for the v-band flange you were freaking about about and had no idea what you were gonna do!

Looking good! My engine bay looks just the same as yours ATM.

Swifty1638 03-28-2010 11:10 PM

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Ya, I did more looking into that, and ordered that and the oil feed from ATPturbo. Thanks. Oh, and thanks for the return. Now my fear is that it will hit the collector flange on the manifold, and be difficult to plumb especially with the wg. I don't know how far the chra can be clocked in either direction either..

No, I still need to finish that and figure it out. Probably make mounts for it. Feel free to stop by and help with that buddy ;)

Re: Swifty's never-ending project thread!

Mani should be done soon. Joe kept running into issues, with the mani, and his setup on his car he's also trying to get done. That, and he keeps tripping circuits in his garage, and blowing shit. Either way, Right now he's messing around how the wg will run and clear everything. Then, ship it my way, so I can get this bish together!
