He has now entered ten WRC races with Ford and crashed in six of them, three resulting in retirements. I'm falling short on finding positives of his racing career aside from the few Rally America events he did well in and didn't crash out of which was many, and even then he was always one-upped by Pastrana.

Yeah, I suppose a 7-time WRC champion (in a row, mind you) should hang it up since he OBVIOUSLY can't compete with Block's record. I mean, Loeb with 63 rally wins, 95 podiums, 756 stage wins, all out of 140 rallies. Yeah, he sure needs to hang it up. He really stinks at driving doesn't he?

Alright, for one I was joking. And for 2 my point was made, because someone crashes in an automotive sport doesn't mean they should quit. I'm pretty sure all of the greats have crashed multiple times (not saying he is one).

Oh yeah, but most learn from it and don't go bigger with the crashes like he does. I'm surprised Alex is still co-driving for him. Alex is an awesome guy that could co-drive for anyone. After that many car-destroying crashes, I would never sit in the same car as Block. I value my life more than that. I'm surprised Block's wife hasn't pulled the plug on his racing yet for fear of becoming a widow.

Looks like Loeb has had to retire from 16 races. Not sure how many of those were from crashes or mechanical failure. Out of 140 races, I'd say that is a little better than the 6/10 rallies Block has totaled his car. By my math that means block is going to need to finish the next 118 races crash free to catch those kind of numbers ;)

FYI, one of Block's retirements was due to roll cage damage that was not repairable. Have fun being his co-driver.

Sounds to me that they were being responsible by not letting him go back out. If he had continued to race with an unrepairable roll cage I could see your point, but this makes little sense imo. I guess the safety equipment is doing it's job?
