Frankly, I'm not sure what to believe any more.

Wouldn't they be finding that from the engine being assembled with moly lube? Or am I totally off?

Now that you mention it, the answer could really be that simple.

That's awesome!

What kinda FP gauge are you needing. I have a reg. 52mm gauge if you are talking about that and a liquid filled one for the AFPR too.

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

Sorry Aaron should of said something to ya that I needed one.

I needed the liquid filled one that goes on the regulator. But I just placed the order and the parts are on there way.

1998 auto GSX
Exterior is red
Interior is black with grey door panel inserts
Tokico illuminas w/ eibach prokit springs
Trans lab shift kit on rebuild auto trans

Other than that the car is mostly stock

Plans for the car is to keep it simple

16g and some corn
Full black interior
Fog lights
Weight reduction while keeping it functional as a daily
Lightweight 16's carbon hood/hatch if money permits

Doing this budget build with either things I have in the garage or trading parts people may need for parts that I don't.

Have almost all parts needed just waiting on a few things and I can get it going then off to DB for a tune.

Best part of all car has no rust and is free of dents and scratches

I plan on keeping till fall. Then may be looking to sell

Thanks guys. The red is growing on me know that I replaced the top with carbon ;)

Goodheart I just dropped it for the pic. Somehow I still have about 2" left to drop in the front and 4" in the rear. But it will be raised and aligned before I see Shane

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

Got the fuel pump rewired, turbo timer in and functioning. Gauges are also wired and working. Hard wired my 1G cas harness in to the main harness.

I reciveived my Braille 9lb battery today in the mail. Crazy how small this thing is. Plan is to put it on the k member and be done.
http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc37b9e4c.jpg

Also got an idea from Joel (99gsxjoel) a few months ago so I decided to tackle that to.
http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps49b61055.jpg

Just being really slow with stuff but making sure I do it right so I won't have to do it again.

FAL window ships on the 7th so hopefully I get it before the 13th.

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

Got some more stuff done today. Would of got more done but the lawn mower was f'd so I had to fix that do I could finish cutting grass.

Anyways. I got this stuff done

Intake manifold is in
Re located coil under intake
Exhaust mani
Made a push lock oil drain
Ran the oil lines for the turbo
Axles and t-case are in
Bolted torque converter to flex plate
Installed battery on k member
Oil cooler
Relocated fuse box

Pretty much what's left is put the wiring harness in and cross fingers it starts. I need an extra pair of eyes though to watch for leaks and whatnot. So once a friend is available for a few hours ill start it. Goal was today but not gonna happen.

It's getting close. I could maybe come help you setup a base tune and get it started some day this week. I will new to get a lifter from you anyway.

CornFed2.4 06-02-2013 09:29 PM

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

Yeah if we shoot for like Thursday/Friday I should be ready as I plan on not working Wednesday so ill have all day to button stuff up.

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

So stupid me installed the 5 speed drivers front after telling myself a 100 times that make sure you install the auto one. Sure shit went to bolt the carrier bearing to the block and noticed the shaft barely in the trans. So lost some time today but I got everything out now just have to put it back. Not a huge deal but meh...

I got the harness in last night but have to loom it now so I know where things go and make it look uncluttered. Hard to do though as there's a ton of stuff uner the hood.

Here's a pic though from a few nights ago.

http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps70c70389.jpg

I ended up having to work tomorrow so I'm gonna tackle a lot of the stuff tomorrow night and hopefully turn the key sometime Thursday.

Yeah just send me a text. Hopefully I get it to the point tonight where all I have to do is turn the key.

CornFed2.4 06-07-2013 03:31 AM

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

Axle and t-case back in
Turbo back exhaust installed
Valve cover is back on
Raised the car up a few inches and set her back on the ground.

I dumped 4.5 qts of rotella 15 40 into int tonight and a bottle of zinc additive so that's done to.

Just need to put the wide band in, and redo my power wire coming from the fuse box and should be good to go.

Thanks Carl for stopping out and setting up a base so I can start this thing with a little more confidence now.

12's here I come!!!

Re: 2G auto S/A daily

No damage somehow. Definitely a holy shit moment. Toms got a pretty sweet pic.

After the fact and it happening all I could think of was quoting FF and yelling "naaawssss" I cause I thought it would blow up. Lolz

On a side note we did get it started and it sounds beast! It's just to bad there's an oil leak so we stopped for the night.

Also if you own an auto and it doesn't start make sure you check the neutral safety switch before you go digging through a bunch of ignition wiring and repays.

Thanks Tom for getting it started
