Lol! Touche my friend, but if I'm going to run without the engine cover, I'm going to do it right and make it look nice. Since I don't want to worry about rewiring, I'll keep it as is. :D

He has the Specialty-X exhaust, same as me. It's definitely one of the quieter aftermarket exhausts. Expensive but I don't regret it. I like the sound quality.

I have to agree wholeheartedly. It cost a nice chunk of change, but it sounds SO SO good to me. The exhaust note is perfect in my book. One of the things I've noticed with it is if you step on it like partial throttle, it'll get loud. However if you do the same thing and then hammer it down, the tone completely changes and sounds mad aggressive deep. I absolutely love it. If I had to do it all over again, I would still get the Specialty-X exhaust without hesitation.

Oh and nice dialogue you have going with SiliconTek on EvoXForums. ;)

You need to come up here sometime next year. MAP Proving Grounds, maybe? You might find this funny but I'd like to see Hotdog and Golden come up for that as well. lol. I didn't stay overnight this year and I regret it. Sounds like it's right up there with Buschur's weekend in Ohio.

I definitely plan to make it up to MN at some point and hang with you guys, whether I drive up or fly up with Kracka. I'm hoping I can tag along for the Spring Cruise but I'll have to see where I am work-wise at that point. I'll most likely be at a different client but they may be super cool, one never knows. :)

Update on this.

So Kevin@Cobb found my battery terminal cover! I'll be picking it up tomorrow at their 1st Thursday meet. Hopefully if the weather permits, I'll take a better picture with my camera instead of my phone.

As for the powdercoating, Kracka dropped off his o2/dp yesterday for the ceramic coating and I asked him to take a look at the blues if he had time. He told me that the guy has a REALLY nice candy blue that would probably match my car close to perfectly. Otherwise, the guy can color match it pretty good given a couple samples. So I have high hopes of finding the perfect color for my piping! It's a shame that it'll be another couple weeks before I take my piping apart. I kind of want to enjoy the car for a while before I rip it apart. However, I'm a pretty patient person so it is ALL GOOD. :D

The shop is a total shithole, but the guy really knew his stuff. We talked about all the different exhaust coatings available and I settled on the one that that is the same/similar to the silver coating Buschur uses on his exhaust manifolds and o2 housings. It held up ultra well on my IX so I figured I'd go with it again; plus he said it has the best thermal properties of them all and it's so durable you can hit it with metal polish.

Yup, I've heard the same thing. Shop is a complete mess, but the guy knows his stuff.

I'll find out firsthand eventually, lol!

LOL yup! Powdercoating, ceramic coatings, dry lubricant coatings, etc. It's in what appears to be an older part of Arlington. His shop actually looked very similar to Jeff's, expect with coating ovens/booths rather than alignment/tire machines.

Re: Greetings MitsuStyles! Kracka recruits yet another one!

So I had a great deal come up that I just couldn't refuse...despite not wanting to spend more money on Deadmau5X.

I picked up a used set of Eibach Prokits from an NTEC member. I'll be getting them on Thursday.

Also since I was kind of pumped that I got such a great deal on them, I told Kracka to hit up Bill@MAP to hook me up with a Whiteline rear swaybar.

So look for updates on those things in the upcoming week. :D

You might want to do an RCK later on. I'm still debating about having a PSRS installed for more caster.

Nice, I fully support this combo :) Sure you don't wanna do bilsteins while you have it apart? :D :D :D

Re: Deadmau5X: MOAR Mods 'N Stuff

^Bilsteins would be really nice but I think I'll hold off on those. It looks like that guy doesn't want to part out just the Bilsteins anyways. Thanks for the link though!

Maybe someone in NTEC will want to sell theirs some day or maybe some local with a GSR SE will want to upgrade to coilovers. Either way, I'll wait it out and see. :)

Maybe I'll get a killer deal on Bilsteins later on too. For $130.50...it would have been just plain stupid NOT to buy the Prokits...plus they're already settled. ;)

What size is that exhaust? 3" then splits to dual 2.5" ?
