Re: Arizona Immigration Law
I'm mexican and I'm 50/50 with this law.
We all know that drugs come from Mexico, so by being able to check peoples status at the border state they might be able to stop more contraband from comng up north. I've lived here most of my life, went to school here, never been to jail, or court, I have moving violations just like every other natural US citizen, I DONT go to hearing when I get one, I pay it in full. I've been filing my taxes since I got my first job when I turned 18, later got married and have never received ANY assistance from state. It's very easy to say " come here legally" when I came here it wasn't my choice, my dad wanted me here not with my mom back in Mexico so ok whatever I walked my ass over here for like 3 days. Fast forward to after I got married, wife being a US citizen we hired a lawyer to help us on this process, it's a long process, pictures, 5-6 page letter from friends and familly, fees here, fees there, I have paid 3 times for visa, which was ~$520 and which I haven't gotten yet. Ive been on this process longer than I can remember, sometimes I just wanna cancel this and "live in the shadows" again. I got my SSN which can be traced back to me, INS, ICE and any other agency that deals with immigrants k os this, they have my info, know where I live and work. But they are taking their time at getting shit done.I just wanna get my permanent resident card. So my point is, yes people come here ilegally because the wait is too long. And some never start a process because it takes too long and too expensive. ( so far I spent over $5k and that number still going up) they need to please hurry up and come up with something where all the people who never been in trouble, pay taxes and don't receive anything from state can stay here. |

The investigative arm of Colorado’s Independence Institute is reporting that officials at the state’s labor agency defied the law by disabling computer software and thereby allowing “unqualified citizens and illegal aliens” to receive unemployment insurance since early 2009. |

Re: Arizona Immigration Law
It's all politics.
Let's see, Obama wants amnesty, that's why the illegals get set free. Obama hates business, so he fines and arrest the company managers and owners, bet they don't get off scott free like the illegals. |
Re: Arizona Immigration Law
In case people weren't paying attention, there were 72 bodies found in Mexico this week in northeast Mexico. The preliminary investigation indicates the victims were illegal immigrants from Honduras, El Salvador, Brazil and Ecuador.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/08/25/...ies/index.html Now, the people sent to investigate this incident are missing themselves with conflicting reports of one or both of them already found dead. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/08/27...ico-disappear/ So how about securing our borders now? Violence is on our doorstep and our current administration would rather open the floodgates rather than nip this entire problem in the bud. |
Re: Arizona Immigration Law
Obama Inc won't do anything, but if they do anything at all, it won't be until after the November elections.

Stray bullets from Mexico hit a college in El Paso. What's it going to take for our government to actually do something?

End the Demand for drugs and the drug lords will look elsewhere. |

The incidents happened all near the border, and are clearly related to illegal immigration. Secure our borders and then drugs and illegal immigrants won't be able to come here. I don't see what is so hard to understand about that. Did you even watch the video 1QUICK4 posted? Why don't you go comment on that with something worthwhile for once. |

No i havent watched the video because im at work. I was putting together an assumption based on your words. You said we need to go in and end this, which would mean we would send troops in to mexico and run their country?. And why dont you stop attacking users of this site as it is in violation of the policies of this site. |

Basically the video talks about the sign in Arizona that say "Stay the fuck away for your own safety, we, the Federal Government can't protect your asses or the border." |
