If you have an E-cover, then an S-cover won't be a direct swap. From an S-cover to a ported shroud S-cover should be.

Full spool by 4400 and 484whp, uh yea, just rock it and enjoy it, you are faster than 99% of whats out there.

Re: Project Spyder 2009 Build

I sware there was a graph where we made a run and it fully spooled by 4400 rpm. Well in any case it still spools crazy and is just a blast to drive. I only have a 1 bar spring in the wastegate and am debating throwing dual springs in it to hold boost up top and see if it hits over 500 then. Besides that, I am finally done with this project besides upkeeping it and cleaning up the interior. Its daily drive ability is actually really good besides just a very small bit of studdering from the huge injectors at low speeds in a high gear and the little bit stiffer clutch but nothing that will stop me from driving it whenever. I made a good run against Halon as posted in the 2010 kills thread and did pretty good against his beast of a car.

Spool is all relative. Maybe it hit "full spool" at 4400 when we were running lower boost. You have 25psi before 4400. If you were only running 15psi, then you would have full spool by 4000. I don't think you need to spool any faster since it already has compressor surge. :)

Ya that is what I was thinking. Numbers don't mean anything. This thing is very fun, pretty fast, spools real quick, and drives amazing when I daily drive it surprisingly. Thanks Shane! Also do you have my corrected numbers graph. Someone on here was wondering what the numbers were.

You got it! It hardly misfires too under normal driving so I am very happy. It got 300% better after Shane tuned it.

Re: Project Spyder 2009 Build

I forgot about those, but the point in buying the old school 1600s was not to pay $500 for injectors when u could just get the IDs.
But touche.

Also that vid linked on the page shows DSMlinks individual injector and there adjustment in deadtime down to 1 microsecond increments instead of 15 microseconds, which Kerry if you have shane might be able to get those injectors even better!!

very true! The new injectors are much much better then the old style 1600's. I'll be running the 1600's for now and maybe later this year I'll upgrade to 2150's.

Re: Project Spyder 2009 Build

It barely studders from the 1600's at all to the car is staying the way it is.
