Re: Where's Jake?
Here is the most recent e-mail.
"HAHAHAHAHA I like the posts, this shit is amusing. Just so you know, if and when I decide to move your things, they will be brought to either my other shop or the office, so if you think that is theft, guess again. I am very careful with what I can and cant do. Trust me, I've learned this already. Both places are directly tied to Vogel Performance. Jake Vogel Jake@vogelperformance.com 507-313-1024" |
Re: Where's Jake?
Nice to see he thinks it's a game. Get the law involved and get this over with.

Re: Where's Jake?
^Yo that's messed up. Have you tried calling him? If I were you I'd go to the shop and have him install the head that day. Granted yea that's kinda a pain in the ass for you to do, but hey if you want your stuff back that's what I'd do. i mean Jake isn't hiding really anymore.

Re: Where's Jake?
This is bullshit. I am ready to drive down there saturday after the dyno day.
Anyone else game? Phone calls only mean so much, someone show up at the sheriff's office in person. It doesn't piss me off that he is pulling business from local shops, it pisses me off that he is fucking around with people in this community. Especially after the SHIT mike at QPR pulled. Talk about getting my blood boiling. |
Re: Where's Jake?
I find it amusing that pretty much after every new fact or piece of information comes up, the only thing that happens is people ask "well, have you tried calling him, or e-mailing him about it?" Put this in the hands of the proper authorities, or lawyers already......

Re: Where's Jake?
^Well Jake is obviously out of hiding now so that's why I brought up the point of trying to call him. What could go wrong with what I said earlier? The way I see it there are a few things we can do.
1) swanny approach: Storm down there and have a wicked sweet road trip on the way. Get there, not find Jake because he's hiding or something. Look around for a while and try to get into a locked house or garage and more than likely fail misrably. This could possibly lead to vandilization of some sort which puts us in trouble with the law just like jake. 2)We can continue trying to get the law involved. I've called a few times and as soon as they hear about car parts or w/e they think it's not a big deal (that's how it sounds to me at least). The only thing I see working with this is if we took the "send a letter" approach I brought up earlier. 3) We can simply try and call him again and if he doesn't answer he doesn't answer. Or if he does, we can discuss our issue with him one on one. Like I said before, 95turbogsx could arrange a meeting one on one in person so Jake might actually show. I would then stay in winona untill the job is done. In my case I'm just trying to remain calm now that jake is out of hiding and hope for the best. |
Re: Where's Jake?
I call Jake at least once a day to see if just maybe he will stop pussin' out and talk man to man.
Getting the authorities involved has been an uphill battle because they keep saying it is a civil matter. Getting a lawyer involved and going to court is exactly what Jake wants. He wants us to have to spend thousands more of our money just tom try and get what is rightfully ours. I know that if he would be a man and answer his phone this stuff would get resolved. But he is just having fun watching the posts and replying by email to keep the fire going. You and I both know Jake that this can be over with just by a phone call. You have my number! |

Jake thinks he's got everything under control, but he doesn't. I know legal shit with this than I really should. Someone directly involved should call a few firms and pony up that first hour rate to sit down with someone and get the info out there. You might be surprised on what options you have. Including people that will go after him for more than the satisfaction of getting your stuff back. Contact any CC companies you might have paid with, and PayPal if used. I'll never respect anything that comes out of "Vogel Performance" due to this, and I'm just glad talks of site sponsorship never took off. It's a shame things got here and I think everyone would think the best thing for Jake to do is just get ownership of parts and such paid for back in the hands of their owners and move past it. Not doing this is just fuck'n stupid. |
Re: Where's Jake?
Small claims court is cheap. Everyone can file together for about $60 and for those who are out of state, they can have someone represent them.
Document everything and have all dates ready for display. Wouldnt hurt to talk to a lawyer either, I am sure a couple hour session could be had for a small fee and that could be split between those involved. He thinks he is being smart or whatever but in the end he is just fucking himself. No shop can hold parts/vehicles because the job isnt completed when it is paid in full. Now if funds were pending then he might have some sort argument but that is obviously not the case. |

It would be pointless to go to Jake's place. |
Re: Where's Jake?
I still say just kick the kids ass. From the pics posted a while ago of his tube chassis, he looks like a little pussy. Then after you are done kicking the shit out of him, steal his keys and any money on him, then go to his shop, get your parts back, get your money back and then never talk to this fuck head again.
Never fuck over a dsmer. |
Re: Where's Jake?
I have intentionally stayed away from this for as long as it has lasted and I fully intent to do so in the future. I do follow the thread and I don't know most of you guys, but I would like to make a few clarifications.
There were only two tube chassis cars in the shop. One is mine and that is the red 1992 GSX. The other one was Tim's and that is the black EVO VIII (It got sold today to the dude from the east coast that made over 1000HP). Jake's black car has an eleventeen point cage in it and that's that. Now to Tim the dude with the avatar that has a flying EVO around a corner, and his lovely post #49 in this thread which says: "Makes sense how these tube cars were being funded." A big warm FUCK YOU !!!!! The DSM was funded entirely and 100% by me. I parted a 10 second car only keeping the motor, which was enough for whatever you see on my project thread and a tig welder. Tim Russell & Katrina Kujak's EVO VIII was funded by them also. They parted and 04 EVO and all that was left of it was a shell. Get your facts straight and then post. Jake is Jake and his business is his concern. I have not used a fucking cent from the money they have payed Jake for whatever services they have requested. In fact I have put up with more phone calls than probably the tuner shops with big balls take in a week, trying to be polite and not get involved. |

Shows intent and is much better than polite emails and random phone calls to people in the area. Sorry for the crap your having to deal with Vassil, it isn't right. |

I was under the assumption that you, Jake, and Tim were all in the same shop, same business, etc... This is just pathetic in every way possible and unfortunately for you, you are in the middle of it. My apologies. |
Re: Where's Jake?
I was pretty cure the EVO and Vassil's project was their own deal, glad to see that be the case.

Re: Where's Jake?
well, it would appear as though jake is getting ready to climb back into his hole once again and refuse to tak to everyone... he has been promising eric that his car is going to be done soon, and i believe today was supposed to be the day that eric would pick up his "finished" car, but seeing as i havent heard much from eric, im assuming jake stopped answering his calls again,... this is getting really old, and i believe jake is being extremely childish about the whole situation. its annoying that if you want to talk to someone you made a huge investment with, the only way it MIGHT happen is if you drive 2000 miles, and then you have some possibly crazy (im rather convinced jake either has a mental disability, or more likely, is on some type of rather extreme drug such as meth) idiot yelling on and on about having guns...
and for all the people who KEEP saying the same shit over and over, yes i call him practically every day, and no i cant just drive over there after work or some shit, im 2000 miles away,... |
Re: Where's Jake?
There's only going to be one way to end this... Talk to a fucking lawyer, and stop being so self-pitiful about yourselves. Man up, and do something real about this. YES, it does suck big balls that you dumped a bunch of money w/ this dude and are losing your asses now, but calling him, and e-mailing him bitching about it obviously isn't going to do any good anytime soon... Especially for the out of state guys that don't even have the option of just going down there. GET SOMEONE ELSE INVOLVED, weather it be local authorities, a civil lawyer, talk w/ your credit card company and paypal... Basically taking all the advice that's in this thread so far is your best bet at getting your shit back in a non-death filled way and getting this Jake dude back by getting him in hot water. Unless your down w/ the whole death thing, cause then we all know what to do ;) Best of luck

Re: Where's Jake?
I've talked to jake a couple times and he said I could have my money back or he could send me my injectors. He's gunna see if extremepsi could dropship them to me monday. He said he was going to call me and let me know the status. The way I've handled things with Jake is to be calm about it. But hey do what you want.

Re: Where's Jake?
Did the letter the Sheriff wanted get sent? I would be taking it up with them again to go further. It sounded like they were being helpful.
