I live about 30 minutes or so from the track now and would have definitely showed up and watched.

I think this Al guy has something 'bigger and better' going on that day. There is no way any business owner would shut down an event if the track rental is willing to be paid.

When will this petition be forwarded to see if it makes any impact?

Signed.

Makes me sick... they just lost a whole bunch of respect. Al treated me this way while trying to test safety equipement (Albiet not in a normal way) but obviously he does not understand how big the internet is. Hopefully he will someday learn.

Signed. Would have been my first time to the track, and would have determined if I went there again or not.

Looks like I'm not, at least not anytime soon.

Ugh... I've been to Rock Falls numerous times to watch, but never even raced there, and this makes me never want to go there again.

Signed #117

This would've been the only time for me on two things.

One, this is THE ONLY TIME I would've run at RF, due to crappy track prep and barely any runs throughout an ENTIRE SC day at RF.

Two, this would've been the only time I full out run my car and NOT sandbagged it on the track.

Once again I am disappointed in an RF related event. I'll stick with BIR from now on. Regardless of who is hosting an event at RF.

I signed the petition only to show the power of marketing on the internet. I will not attend any event at RF any longer, even this one should it come through.

Well I sent out the petition on Saturday after we hit 100 signatures. I just got off the phone with Al, and although it started out promising we ended up in the same situation. He said that we could make the event work, but that he wanted $5000 from us to make the event happen and he would keep the admission fees ($35 to race, $10 to spectate) that were collected the day of the event on top of that fee...

I talked to Jennifer about marketing and such for the "sport compact" days. Hopefully they can reformat for next season.

Honestly our sign out there has been a giant waste of advertisement budget. I expressed my concern to Jennifer regarding the entire treatment of imports out there. I have my sources that have even quoted Al in saying that he loves the import days because: "The cars aren't fast enough to injure anyone and the "xxxxxxxx, xxxxx" people bring out friends and family that use the concession stands. The concession stands pay for the track that day in itself."

I feel bad for the guys at Modern about this entire ordeal. I must have talked to Jennifer about possible resolutions for 40 minutes on saturday. In the end I think it is time to just start using other tracks entirely.

Is anybody surprised? That track is a big waste of time anyway, the only reason it gets used is because its close to the cities relative to most other tracks. Every time I have been there its been way over crowded and the track has sucked ass. $5000 just to hold the event there? Give me a fucking break, it should be $500.

It's too bad Brainerd doen't take advantage of this and hold some more weekend drag racing events.

I agree Rock is becoming a joke. I'd really like to race at Brainerd. Just to be down the same strip as a fuel car would be a cool feeling.

How about we make a petition for not ever going to rock falls again. Maybe that will make Al think a little bit... Im not going there again ever.

So, sunday is coming up. What's the plan now, cause obviously River Falls won't be the place to go to?

Banner it up and put it on every forum and everyone's personal home page. The ONLY way AL is going to ever get butt hurt is if it hits his pocket book.

The sad fact is, it just won't happen. Still way too many people that reply on the Rock as the track to go to.
