Oh, well, I'm not colorblind, so I'll blame it on technology.

thanks
I got the engine all back togehter with the new parts on it (water pump,b.s. kit, multi layer head gasket and arp studs) motor and tranny will be going back in tomorrow. I started to make a new fuel tank sence the stock one was to big to fit behind the rear end and there is now way I will beable to get a evo III tank any thie soon.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

No need for an evo3 tank at all, unless you were just trying to have it be "more origional". But from your standpoint of transforming a LHD to a RHD, it doesn't matter anyway.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

the start of my new fuel tank it is a tank for a boat the was a 18gal tank. took 4in. out of it to get it to fit perfect under the car. I cut apart the stock tank for the the pump baffel and all the mounts for the tank, sending unit, check valve and the fill and vent.

Keep it up man, looking good! Do you have plans to put a bigger turbo setup on it sometime?

I sold the black fmic and all the piping to my buddy kevin that will be going on my old 91 talon he bought from me He also bought the other evo turbo set I had from the first clip

I do have a pte 50 sitting around but I dont know if I wnat to put it on sence I would need a o2 housing a tial wastegate for it also.

Looks good!

I've never seen that intake before. It has almost no plenum volume from the looks of it and the runners are shorter. I would think that would choke flow with a bigger turbo, but the shorter runners would be good for high end power. I'll be anxious to see what kind of numbers it makes. Even with a little turbo, a car that light should really move.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

steve,
here is the info on it stock from mitsubishi

January 1995 saw the arrival of the Evo 3- and this time the 5000 strong production run was brought up more quickly than the Evo 2. The Evo 3 looked more serious, with its new nose moulding (to channel air better to the radiator, intercooler, and brakes). New side skirts and rear corners, while the rear wing had grown again to reduce lift. Under the vented aluminium bonnet a new TDO5-16G6-7 Turbo, new exhaust system and increased compression brought another 10ps power rise, Torque output was unaltered, apart from a higher final drive ratio. Both GSR and RS still used the same 5speed gearbox. Interior tweaks were limited to a new Momo steering wheel (GSR only) and new fabric on the Evo 2 type Recaros. The specs on this vehicle were an engine size of 1997 cc, 270 bhp@6250 rpm, Torque was 228 lb ft at 3000 rpm. weight is 1260 kg (rs 1190 kg) A top speed of 149 mph and 0-60 in 4.9secs. This model still uses the same frame. (CE9A)

That intake mani does look interesting. I wonder if it will flow better then the Cyclone intake mani. But eh...looking really good. Like to see more shots of that gas tank.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming

got the drive shaft mounted yesterday and made a lic plate bracket today and worked out the lighting problems. got the city lights working (little bulb that light up the head light when running light are on) also rewired the side markers to make them runing lights and blinkers so I will now be legal. Sence it will have front running lights.
