My car seemed pretty much right on the money from making 470-480whp at DB earlier this summer--543whp @ 30psi. The odd thing is that the car ran about 1 full AFR point richer on the dyno than it does on the street (you know....same thing happened at DB now that I think about it)....and I noticed that MAP's map sensor seemed to read about .5psi less than my 4-bar--maybe this was due to smoothing or something? Also the car ran ~28psi on the dyno and I run ~31psi on the street, so I cranked the MBC one full turn to bring boost up. My hybrid setup is pretty nice in situations like this, pretty easy to bump up boost w/o touching the ecu but still maintaining a nice flat boost profile.

Anyways, the car is healthy, dyno day went off w/o too many problems, I'm happy! Watching Mark's car writhe on the dyno was crazy, I'm SO glad it worked out.

Congrats to John Lacroix for taking the trophy today! Your car is simply legendary.

And, the full list, missing one mostly stock evo8 that made ~270whp.

Chris,

That means their dyno wasn't loading your car the same it is loaded on the street. Very common for dynojets.

I forgot to add, scheides I love your powerband.

If someone can figure out how to put that in my DSM, I will make sweet love to you or find a hooker for you to make sweet love to.

Also, if u like me enough I'd love a ride and to watch you run around me in my POS. (sometimes its good to see how effective a setup is when its running against something else)

Thanks for putting on a fun event, glad I could come out for a while even though I don't have a fun car any more.

Thanks for the prize too!

Yes it was a fun day. The car did good, the 2nd run was at 40psi, at DB early this year it made 720awhp un corrected at 40psi, I am not sure on the shootout mode but I would think the 829 is close.

Then as Josh said the 3rd run was to see how the tune was at 44psi, and besides the miss fire it looked good. So I might need to change the plugs and gap them back down to .013 to try and get a clean pull at 44+psi, and/or more ignition timing.

Nice to see those that showed up! Goodhart the Galant was a BEAST!!! LOL

Also nice to meet you Revo, really nice Evo you picked up.

And to those that always work the Tent and the Grill Rosey and Ana, MAP for housing us and Scheides for putting it on!

Good Times!

Thanks..likewise.. I am loving the car. You make it to RS today? Interested in knowing if your issues are clutch or turbo. :)

Nice seeing a few familiar faces. I was the guy in black with a green tie (had a wedding to go to) and I drove the electric blue evo 9 (that is for sale :-) )

There was A LOT going of for me leading up to saturday night. Long story short at 8:30am saturday the head for the car was still on the welding bench, I forgot to call swifty for help and my other help showed up just after noon.

Awesome numbers. Scheides I had no idea your car was putting down that kinda power, awesome power band.

Glad to hear things went well with the exception of a near catastrophe with Mark's car, wish I could have made it!

Wish I could have made it too, sounds like everyone had a good time and hopefully Mark's car is a quick and easy fix.

Re: 2011 Fall Dyno Day - September 24th @ Modern Automotive Performance

Nice that the plots were sent over. I know for the boost the dyno was showing WAY off due to the BOV line being picked up. John should add a dyno vacuum port somewhere on his car :)

Congrats to everyone. I remember years ago 400whp was the top, now it seems nearly average.
