Re: Over revving issue
Car made it all the way to Ottertail Lake and back this weekend, with only one (semi-bad) issue. The driver side axle, well apparently I didn't torque down the bolts that hold the center part of the shaft up in place. So it started flopping around on my way home. I decided to be safe, and just ordered one from Napa that should be here around 2pm.
Otherwise, the car drove damn near perfect which makes me :D |

Haha kidding. If people want to organize a trip let me know! I know that area very very well (East battle or west battle Chris?) |
Re: Over revving issue
My g/f's parents have a cabin on Ottertail. I'm usually up there once or twice a month in the summer, eatin at Zorbaz and trying to wakeboard :) Their cabin is right near Balmoral golf course if you know where that is.
Damn Battle Lake, yeah you were right there. You didn't see (or hear) a 1G rolling through eh? We go to Otterfest pretty much every year too. Either of you guys goin this year? Also, that's where my g/f and I are staying this weekend for MAP's event. You guys coming, and staying right around there too? Nothing like floating around on the lake after a long day of loud ass cars. |
Re: Over revving issue
West battle, and my family's cabin is on Stuart (SE a tish, past clitherall). I know balmoral, golfed there as a kid plenty. My parent's place is straight west of ottertail on hwy 1 so drive past that place on teh corner (greystone?) and zorbaz all the time on my way out there. There are some FUN ASS ROADS up there, we have been kicking around the idea of a cruise up that way, but the initial freeway jaunt to get there might suck too bad. Anyways, sorry to go OT :D

Great area for cruising, awesome back roads. I agree that the drive there would be lame. Could maybe caravan up 94 and exit in Perham and take the back roads towards detroit lakes, and backtrack to stay in Battle lake, return home on 94 :). |

But yeah, it's a good 2 hour drive from the cities on 94 until you get to those exits, which would be kinda sucky. |
Re: Over revving issue
New axle is in :)

Re: Over revving issue
Sorry for the continued OT Brandon, but with all this talk of Battle lake I had to speak up. My best friend from HS and his family own a couple/few conjoining plots on West Battle and have a large "farm" IE: Hunting land a few miles away. I've spend a lot of time up there, I like that area.

Re: Over revving issue
Car is missfiring like crazy, and puked coolant all over DB's dyno :(
|
Re: Over revving issue
Shane's dyno has gotten covered in various fluids like every other day lately. I'm sure he loves that.

Re: Over revving issue
Oh man wtf! Hope its nothing serious..
|
Re: Over revving issue
Maybe you bumped something when you replaced the axle?
