Car made it all the way to Ottertail Lake and back this weekend, with only one (semi-bad) issue. The driver side axle, well apparently I didn't torque down the bolts that hold the center part of the shaft up in place. So it started flopping around on my way home. I decided to be safe, and just ordered one from Napa that should be here around 2pm.

Otherwise, the car drove damn near perfect which makes me :D

My g/f's parents have a cabin on Ottertail. I'm usually up there once or twice a month in the summer, eatin at Zorbaz and trying to wakeboard :) Their cabin is right near Balmoral golf course if you know where that is.

Damn Battle Lake, yeah you were right there. You didn't see (or hear) a 1G rolling through eh?

We go to Otterfest pretty much every year too. Either of you guys goin this year?

Also, that's where my g/f and I are staying this weekend for MAP's event. You guys coming, and staying right around there too? Nothing like floating around on the lake after a long day of loud ass cars.

West battle, and my family's cabin is on Stuart (SE a tish, past clitherall). I know balmoral, golfed there as a kid plenty. My parent's place is straight west of ottertail on hwy 1 so drive past that place on teh corner (greystone?) and zorbaz all the time on my way out there. There are some FUN ASS ROADS up there, we have been kicking around the idea of a cruise up that way, but the initial freeway jaunt to get there might suck too bad. Anyways, sorry to go OT :D

I will be to busy with moving in July to think about anything like that. I will try to get up there for some late season/early fall walleye fishing on Ottertail. We usually fish the river inlet around that time of year. My step uncle lives in Deer Creek, cousins live in Battle Lake, family farm has property on Ottertail Lake still, Grandpa/dad have property on Pelican Bay (attached to Ottertail).

Great area for cruising, awesome back roads. I agree that the drive there would be lame. Could maybe caravan up 94 and exit in Perham and take the back roads towards detroit lakes, and backtrack to stay in Battle lake, return home on 94 :).

Funny because I was considering recommending it to you guys also for a future cruise, but thought the same about the initial cruise. I usually take 94 and get off on either Exit 82 or Exit 78. Both of them are awesome cruising roads for a good 30 miles to Battle Lake. I think it'd be a sweet cruise to cruise up that way, and reserve a place on a lake and party it up at night on Battle Lake or something.

But yeah, it's a good 2 hour drive from the cities on 94 until you get to those exits, which would be kinda sucky.

Sorry for the continued OT Brandon, but with all this talk of Battle lake I had to speak up. My best friend from HS and his family own a couple/few conjoining plots on West Battle and have a large "farm" IE: Hunting land a few miles away. I've spend a lot of time up there, I like that area.

Shane's dyno has gotten covered in various fluids like every other day lately. I'm sure he loves that.
