Adjusted the 2 step when Scheides, Trev and myself all stopped at RS...Thank you Scheides.

Tomorrow is the track, time to see what it does.

I just did the street tune too, don't like doing the race tune with 3 people in there for some reason, lol.

You're forgetting the "The Life of Dave blog" portion of it :)

Thread semi cleaned. Hotdog's posts remind me of everything I hate about evoXforums and as much as I love teasing murlo I don't want this site to slip into the newb/facetube/omg entity that others have created. Just keep this thread semi-on-topic; extra-way-too-long rants and tirades about flaming faux-homosexuality can go elsewhere pretty please with pink sprinkles on top :)

Evo goes away for the winter this weekend...taking insurance off, putting it on jackstands and the honda returns...was a good month of fun while it lasted.

Edit: I must put this thread back on track.

That single layer of paint evos have doesnt seem to resist the salty roads for too long, sadly.

I assume you won't be telling your bank about that one. I thought about upping my deductibles but it's not worth the risk since even my parking ramp isn't totally safe.

With the amount of paint my car has lost in 14k miles, I expect it to need a repaint sooner than later. It's amazing.

It doesn't fully remove it...its what I did while at DB. It is still covered if something happens, you just can't drive it.

I think i still pay like 50 bucks a month for the coverage that way...something like that. A lot less though.

And yes, the paint is bad on these...my car is starting to look rough, I don't need more salt and rock chips owning the exterior than is needed.

Honestly, i think it will just make driving the evo that much more awesome when I take it out again in spring.

Yep...I still get my mutli car discount this way too, so its all good :)

However it seems to confuse statefarm, at least my agent, so it usually takes a billing cycle to figure it out, lol.

But I will save a lot on GAS, insurance and maintenance. I would say over the winter, probably looking at 600 or so in savings...works for me.

Edit: I don't think you have to worry about this scheides, but if you tow it anywhere, just let them know that day so you are covered...otherwise should be good to go.

Re: Dave's Evo X Build/The Life of Dave blog

Just called, Went from $129/month to $19/month. Technically I could remove coverage entirely (no lien on it) but for $19 I'll keep some coverage in case the roof falls in on the garage or I give up and light the thing on fire (har har).

You are welcome for the suggestion :) More money for the motor now!
