Having this site's name (one of them) on that car does nothing but discredit us in the eyes of the knowing. Them using it to try and legitimize themselves is stupid, I hope they loose their asses.

Someone needs to write up a flier that could be handed to any would-be customers. Nothing harsh, but perhaps filled with facts and then signed by a bunch of the people who have gotten screwed, and include their phone numbers for reference (assuming they will stand up and take calls warning others).

Your not helping anyone, and if you look at who is actually posting in this tread, there are more of you guys posting talking about jakes buisness than us guys who are actually dealing with him. FYI, me and j.t. went up to winona last night, we had a contract signed by both parties, but we will see if it leads to anything.

As I warned Brian earlier, I also got a contract from Jake when I picked up my car. That "contract" states that Jake will reimburse me $1000, payable between November and March 1st. I have yet to see any money from him. I'm not really holding my breath until any shows up, either. Word is, Jake is trying to get a large business loan. I really hope he does. Then maybe he can afford to reimburse me and get everyone else taken care of.

However, I wonder how much business he'll have... given his reputation.

Please everyone stop posting these remarks about his business. Me and Brian went up there last night. Drove from 10:00 am mon. got there at 1:30 am Jake was at the shop. We figured out whats going to happen. Making these remarks about his business isn't going to get us our stuff. He made some mistakes. He is also trying to straighten things out.


We will keep everyone informed.

It's not that were pussin out or backing down. We understand the situation he's in.

The point of the thread was not to bash him, but to figure out where he was and to inform everyone what was going on.

It's easy to sit at your computer and say what you would do in our situation.
Yes, he fucked up and misspent our money, but he is trying to make it better. We will know the end result to this situation by the 1st of march.

If he would have posted in the first page of this thread or any page for that matter and told people the truth it would have been a different story. The reason he and his buisness (or lack there of) is being bashed is because it seems as if he is just blowing everyone off. People are generally understanding of others falling on bad times; but just ignoring customers that have sent you parts and gave you big deposit is just a fuckstick move I don't care what you say.

Everything that is being said could have easily been resolved a long time ago; even if the resolution wasn't a money refund right away.

I was just curious how he planned to fix the Evo's front end seeing I remember measuring the suspension brackets and they were substantially off in hight. Which you told me you and Tim both told Matt that when he bought the car.

I never claimed expertise in tube chassis, but I know when something is wrong. Especially when they need to get cut out and redone as YOU and TIM said yourself in order for them to be correct.

Yeah,

I bitched Jake out because of his irresistable desire to be in other people's business. Both Tim and I messed up the upper strut mounts in our tube chassis. We are guessing it was because of the fact the the floor is not leveled and because of heating it too much while welding. Either way, I cut my whole front out and fixed it and Matt (the dude that bought Tim's & Trina's EVO) also cut his out. The little bitch could not resist to post on the forums just to make sure he takes a shit on an already complete sale. It was a failure on his part and it pissed me off. Way back in the day when we were still on good terms I told him to stay out of Tim's and my shit, just like we stay out of his.

Anyways ... I was snooping around and looking for activity from Jake and Vogelperformance.com and found a couple pieces of information.

1. Jake has been really active on some ricer board called Autotechniques. He is the Minnesota VP. If you wanna see his posts here is a direct link that will display all of his activity on that forum:

I am not "hiding" or anything for that matter but I like how many of you think its such a big deal if you see me post on a different board. I'm online, anyone can find out if they felt like it. I've been in contact with the customers which have issues and they are currently being dealt with. When is the last time they posted? Seems like you guys want to know where I am more than they do and they are the ones that have issues.

Post whatever you want, talk to whoever you want. Tell them how I fucked up. Make something up or whatever, instead of 4 people... Tell them it was 400 for all I care. I will still be here working on cars. I technically didnt "scam" anyone. Everyone will get what they have paid for, it may have just taken a little longer than expected and promised. Which I will fully take responsible for and admit my wrong. I'm sorry for that. But everything will get straightened out. I'm sure some of you have been let down by things taking longer than expected when being paid in full already... So there ya go, now you know where we sit. I am by no means saying that I'm doing this on purpose, its taking a lot longer than I expected as well. Again, my fault.

Yes, I'm active on a few different sites. If I felt the need I could be active on more. I got a text 2hrs ago saying "Check the Wheres Jake? thread." Thats the only reason I am replying otherwise I would have never noticed.

Still need to work on the whole "I sound like a pissed of highschool ex-grilfriend and I am gonna bring up everything I can think of just to be able to say something ... whether its relevant or not" aspect of things but that will come with time :)
