What numbers are you referring too???
Go back to the post where I was quoting my HP/Torque numbers. [/b][/quote]
Take and add enough cylinders to our NA engine to equal the amount of cylinders in your engine and I would say we would be just fine. BTW, what is the displacement of your engine (not up on all BMW numbers).

So what if our turbos add a few hp. A stock 1st gen, manual transmission, turbo DSM came with 195hp. That's only 6 more than what you posted. So numbers are close to the same. I'm sorry but 6 hp is not going to make us walk away from you like we do. So there is obviously more to this debate than just hp numbers.

I am not making excuses, we run what we brung. Stock for stock our stock dsm's will walk all over your stock 325i (of the same model year). Hell, our AWD's will walk all over them from a dig or from a roll. And we have more hp loss thru the AWD then we could ever have from the AC.

Type in "stock dsm 500hp" on Yahoo. for the 411 I need to go to bed.
"Sorry, no results were found."

Yeah right, 500hp stock DSM. Keep dreaming. Your buddy Khadgar is struggling to keep 200 with his heavily-modded car. He said he loses 20hp or so a week due to his engine just breaking down in front of him.

Kuza 07-23-2004 03:15 AM

Err..no yah wont my volvo would school you on the hillz LOL!

He means that you can throw 500hp to a stock block and pistons and it will hold.

Hell I could probably smoke a 325i in my car and I dont even have first gear. And if a 325i is an ultimate driving machine, WTF is an m5? Is it a rocketship? Bottom line is a 325i may be a bimmer but it a damn cheap one!!! And it is far from an ultimate driving machine!!!! To be honest I would rather drive a geo metro than a 3 series. I mean damn that way i could save my money and buy a real ultimate driving machine. And it sure wouldnt be a BMW. And i guess in my opinion if you are looking for comfort in a DSM, buy a galant!!! That is all for now!!!!
Omigosh, are you kidding me?

I said BMWs are the Ultimate Driving Machines. My 325i is the entry-level car, and yes, M5s ARE rocketships.

And I will cut the next person who would take a Geo Metro over an E36 3-series. Thank you.

I've seen several 325i's hold together with over 600hp with stock block and pistons. *yawn*

You still haven't answered my question about what displacement your engine is. Like I said, I'm not up on all the BMW numbers.

152.2 cu in. 2494cc. 2.5L. Hence the "25" in "325i".

I ve seen several M5's and M3's...........................

IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.
After that they see me slow down and say
<-----------------------------------------------

Sorry I had to say it. Too much fun I have read in this thread so far. Sadly I have seen many in my rear view mirror. I see them often in my area where they actually try to race me and they always lose. god you gotta wonder whats going through there heads "his 10K car vs my 50-60K car and I'm losing, WTF?" God I would pay to read there minds as they see an integra smokin there ass. anyways. about AC:

I have no AC in my car but the past few days I wish I did. My god its been hot. I removed it for radiator flow because of my intercooler now adding to the blockage of my radiator. Plus AC weighs a lot in the hondas so I removed some dead weight at the same time. WOOO WOOO.

Kuza 07-23-2004 03:25 AM

325i
2.5

Blufire at the begging of the race = :goodluck:
Blufire after the race = :liar: :fworld: :headache:

OK. So your are comparing a 2.5ltr to a 2.0ltr. Hmm. I guess that would be like comparing a ten speed to a 50cc dirtbike.

xrtdac 07-23-2004 03:26 AM

How about to my 1.9L hahahahahahahah

So basically you are saying what all the old domestic owners say, "there's no replacement for displacement." Our equallizer is our small turbo. If you read what I wrote in the other post, if you have 189hp and we have 195hp STOCK, we would virtually be equal. Our lack of cylinders is made up for with a turbo. So what. There are plenty of cars that come with turbos that can't hang with us. You are just trying to find something to pick on. You haven't won by a long shot. Our cars that cost about, what, half of what yours cost can still beat you, stock for stock and still have plenty of creature comforts. We don't have to remove the AC to beat you, we already do that standing still.
